(No, I don't have a spellchecker handy - take it or shut up)
And your side is nothing more than immoral [sic] rationalization.
If you spend more time actually trying to think, than finding irrelevant spelling errors you might have noticed I have said nothing about a side. I'm just looking at something intelligently instead of rabid partisanship.
The movie is crap. It wasn't good enough to watch in the theater, and not good enough to buy on DVD, and not good enough to rent for $3 at blockbuster, and not good enough to watch for free on TV when it gets there... but it IS good enough that you spend your time finding a tracker for it out on the internet, spend another two hours downloading it, and spend another two hours watching it?
When I first started studying this matter in 1991, I believed that the world would start taking action by about now, so I did not believe people who saw this as the biggest problem around.
I was wrong.
At this point we are in big trouble and still lots of folks are coming up with irrational arguments for ignoring it.
Money and greed. Its cheaper to ignore it right now (of course tomorrow people start getting toasted, but hey who cares - most voters are stupid anyway)
You are being imoral by postulating something which is not the case. If someone had taken their money it would be stealing. But that would be a provable fact. This isn't the case here, its guess work - "they would probably have made some money from that so they have probably lost" - that is not proof of stealing - thats inventing stories.
And when the same asshole was asked this question at a press conference few months ago, he said that Google is just making already available information easier to find.
And now that *he* goot googled, that is objectionable reporting.
You are spnning. He didn't say wether or not it was objectionable reporting, he said the information was already available. The two things are not in opposition.
Except you have no proof of your analysis. Google didn't issue a press release telling people why they are avoiding Cnet - Cnet is speculating, but they could be wrong. We don't know why, and as such you can't say its a double standard.
Well you are still wrong (or perhaps just illiterate) - thats group #3 are those who have money but treat it like TV, most is crap that might be good enough waste an hour or two on, but most is not worth paying for either. And downloading isn't stealing, stealing is where you take an object from someone so they don't have it anymore.
There have been a number of questions about the viability of BD+ raised, but the notion that standalone players will require Internet connections has been beaten down so many times it's just not funny anymore.
And if yo believe that, we have this bridge to sell you...
I think my mom threw out my instruction book when I was born, could you please send me your copy so I can finally know exactly what I am _supposed_ to do with my life?
You are sure you got one? If you didn't you are faulty and should be returned!
I don't get it. If some terrorists have equipment to bomb it from a plane or something, they know where the place is and can (try) fly over it. If they have to get in via the ground, surely the location is the least if the - the problem for them will be getting past security etc. Oh well. I guess Google must have seen it comming:)
what use is there for apologies when the mindset of an entire nation, as reflected through its' educational system, fails to appreciate the extreme pain and anguish it has caused
The decision to nuke Hiroshima was appropriate given the circumstances of war. For anyone who seems so 'horrified' at this atrocity, recall that the Japan and Germany initiated the war. Recall that Japan and Germany created a war against humanity with INDUSTRIAL genocide.
Ah, so as long as you can say the other guy is evil you are allowed to do anything. That's what they thought when they attacked on 11/9 (most of the world write dates: Day/month - perhaps you should follow the majority) I've been to the countries occupied by Japan during the 30s and 40s, and the people to this day go out of their way to say "thanks" for the US millitary efforts sixty years ago. Phillipines, China, Indonesia, Australia...
yeah, and more think you should be ashamed. Lets take a vote why don't we.

Nope.
Hypocrite.
I don't think you know what that word means.
No moron, its the word for glacier in another langauge.
It is a known and observed fact that lightning activity goes up as temperature rises,
That must be based on faulty assumptions.

and on greenland they have noticed gletchers which move more than a kilometer *a day* now - that's some speed for what is essentially a mountain!

And only an idiot would agree to that - or someone lusting for fame.
You can't steal music (unless you take a cd and run away), and people generally pay for those they wish to support.
You are assuming punishment.

And you think that we won't check for an ethernet port on the back just in case before handing our money over?
Yep, because only 0.001% know what that is, and that market is irrelevant anyway.
Nope, this is not a seperate group, they are included in the 3 he mentioned.

Or you can see it here :)

Don't they have rules about such smut over there? If they kids watch sex the terrorists have won!

Just use the website of The Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO) !
;)
Rigth Here!
Tsk tsk
As is covering the white house - everybody knows where it is. You think osama is going to sit and refresh hoping to catch bush up there?
Silly.
Yeah yeah, more postulates. Your tone doesn't suggest credibility (and the thousands of innocent cilivians killed probably would think so either)
what use is there for apologies when the mindset of an entire nation, as reflected through its' educational system, fails to appreciate the extreme pain and anguish it has caused
Yep, that's what they say about the US as well.
Lol. You are blind. The world has been in conflict every year since then.
