    I'm in Ohio, and its part of my required reading for c.p.10 English. I already read the book though and its pretty interesting. My favorite part is where they let the mechanical hound attack the one guy on the street, and try to pawn him off as Montag to the public, when Montag is really with them hobos

    That would be cool!
    BTW, I've seen this mind stuff in action, it was an experimental remote controll for your tv, it only partly worked, but was pretty interesting

    Same Here, I've been using a mouse since I was 2 years old (I'm 14 now) quite heavily- due to that I'm a heavy game player, from Prince of Persia (anyone remember that game?) all the way up to Quake 3- and Have had no problems what so ever, due to that I only use quality mice, and a Microsoft Natural Key board ever since thay came out.

    The only good thing the Slashdot community got was that in the original e-mail, the lawyer referred to "BlueUnderwear" twice, and "anonymous Coward" Several times. Thanks BLueUnderwear!, but to bad your name wasn't Mr.Bills Microdick or Something.

    I know this will make me sound like an absolute ass, but I have a question. I'm looking into getting a 27.6 gig hd, and putting two partitions on there each about half the size(Linux & win200). I know nothing about Lilo and so I don't want to have to fool with reinstalling it and everyting. Is it possible to have This working as long as I put Linux on the first past of the HD?

    HEY, I detest to this, I have installed Win98 on several machines, and have had no problems what so ever. And I have yet to use a piece of equipment for my computer that windows would not supply a driver for, or that you could not download off the internet

    I have a 17inch Viewsonic g773 and I love it. My 3dfxVoodo3 powers it at 100hz refresh at 1024x768 just fine, and the monitor is crystal cleer. I play alot of games, so I don't like that big of a monitor because it makes me sick, but this one is just fine at 1024x768 in Q3, and it has little glare or curving of the screen. I'm also happy because I used to have an HP monitor that wouldn't go past 60hz refresh and 600x400 res.

    Dude, you have no clue what your talking about. The reason no one(me included) switches to AMD is because the first chips that came 0ut besides intel (Cyrix perhaps) Sucked hairy goat balls, you couldn't even run Cad on them. THe reason I stick with intel is compatibility. HAve you ever looked in Linux at binary packages and crap, what do the say?, i386 or i486, what do you think the "i" stands for? Intel!!!!!!!!.

    try going to www.linuxnewbie.org Whenever I'm stuck, thats usually the first place I go to find an awnser. They help with everything from hardware requirments to filesystems to getting an SBLive to work. its pretty nice
