I've lived in NZ and hope to return to living there at some point. I'm from the UK. One thing I missed while living there was the BBC iPlayer service (or maybe not;) ). If I had an ISP in NZ who could give me a UK IP Address I'd be laughing all the way to my TV/Laptop. I'm sure there's other reasons why you might want to cover up your from NZ (Mr Dotcom!) but this is the best one I can think of.
OK, it was 20 years ago for me but doing an engineering degree, especially computer science and electronics, we had 80 guys and 1 cute girl. As you walk past other lecture rooms for biology, chemistry, etc it was all girls. Hot ones. Thats the only reason and the real reason its sucks. Especially when you are at that age.
Seriously, an enforced balance of the sexes in classes should be encourage if not enforced. In all academic disciplines.
A man claims that a foreign power has stuff secretly tucked away which the world should know about and decides, without any ones permission, to after it.
I believe this was a mistake and they should have made the network port a WiFi (802.11b or better). Also it's progressive scan capable too for those with HDTV screens. Only problem is you need a European SCART connector with RGB outputs to use it, thats their other mistake. Otherwise - nice toy I'd like one (if they make it WiFi).
It strikes me that this top 10 list is perhaps not written with the employee's best interest in mind. The points are valid but heavily to one side and not balanced with say "10 reasons why staying maybe good". The discussion on/. gives plenty of reasons for both side of the argument. I would be suspicious of it's origins. The recruiter in this story won't make a penny from the counter offer...

Sounds very familiar to me...

I think Cisco may have landed this patent when they took over IBM's networking division a year or so back.
I wonder if Cisco aquired this patent when they took over IBM's networking division a year or so back?
