How do you know when you press that submit button that it's not going to give you a BSoD instead of what is supposed to? Because you have faith in Roblimo and those other guys out there for some reason, but you've never really met them, and have no clue about them at all, and you haven't looked at the source code of the page very well, so you're not really sure what is back there, but you still have faith in the fact that is going to work. Why is that? Why have faith in anything at all?

That which is easier to believe (evolution) is not always correct.

I did always wonder how I could be involved in some sort of legally binding contract without signing my name or having any say in it all. Perhaps we should be pushing for some kind of legislature on shrinkwrap "agreements", and either do away with them, or regulate them or something. I apologize to all you anarchists out there, but it would probably help.

I don't know if it's safe to assume this or not, but I'll be that a large number of /.'ers here work for some sort of computer related business, and spend a good deal of their time working on the internet in some form or another. My point is, we don't allow alcoholics in the work place, so should I then be fired, since by working at an ISP I spend 8 hours a day on the internet on average, and usually even more when I get home, and we can't have people with serious addictions working in this society, so therefore the internet is going to have to cease to exist as well. Sucks to internetism.

When you purchase a product, you agree to a license agreement, like it or not. It is a legal binding contract which says you can such and such with this product. YOU do not OWN the product, it is merely being made available for your use, subject to the terms of the license agreement.

Now, that is the fact of the matter. Technically, it is illegal, bootlegs have been around for years and years of all sorts (back in the thriving days of vinyl they existed) and most likely will forever, and I have nothing against it either, as we all drive over the speed limit, and you don't see any big organizations out there trying to stop that now do you?

My point is, that it IS illegal. Read a licensing agreement, by using the product you agree to it. Most people choose to break these licensing agreement, which is definetly a crime. The only question is, is it a criminal offense, or are the software companies allowed to sue each individual which pirates their software?

I find it interesting then that Satan quotes scripture himself. Satan is also a creationist. Did I miss something there? I don't remember the verse where he quotes scripture, but if need be, I can find it for you.

Okay, I'm going to look at this from a creationist point of view, and you feel the need to flame me for that, get a life. Anyways, it makes perfect sense from my point of view that obviously not every single thing that existed when the earth was created would be how ever many years old since the creation of the earth. In other words, even if God may have created earth on say January 1st, 4000 BC or something, that doesn't mean that materials in existence can't be older than 6000 years. Does that make sense to anyone else? It does to me anyways. Well, now that you all know that I'm not a firm believer in evolution go ahead and take a swing at me.
