I have the Ipad and I like the form factor and battery life.
there are two fetures they missed which would make this a killer for me:
1) A file system. Right now, I have two PDF viewers. One I can use to markup, but doesn't work as well as the other one. However, There is no way to share data. I have to load the PDF twice or in some cases I can send the data from one to another which is dumb.
2) A way to capture something with a stylus. I have been looking for years for an easy note taking device. I don't want the Ipad to do handwriting to text, but capture the strokes and store them. They can be post-processed later. But it seems like the perfect device to do this. The issue now is twofold. 2a) Because of the multi touch filtering algorithm, you can't get a fine point. 2b) bacuse the touch is capacitive, you can't have your hand rest on the screen while writing which makes it difficult to write.
Finally, the price is rediculous. I so want a good tablet, but I got an OK one since the android ones aren't out and windows is not a tablet OS.
This exists and I saw it demoed about 5 years ago at SID in boston. It was amazing, aside from there being a few sweet spots and if you weren't there, then you loose the effect.
Bzzz. Wrong answer.
I own a 2006 Prius and I use it as a mobile office to make calls via my cars bluetooth system. I sit out there for 30-60 minutes in the summer with AC on. The engine will ocassionally kick in to recharge the battery, but the AC never shuts off. It will vary based on the internal temperature since you set the target temperature, but it will not shut off.

The above poster is correct. Having worked as a design engineer for over 16 years, VHDL is more European, verilog is more US. I started out w/ VHDL for the first 3 years of my career and verilog/ Systemverilog ever since. (I still ocassionally have to deal with VHDL, but its painful)
A couple of side notes:
1) Synopsys (ASIC design) has made verilog a higher priority than VHDL for years.
2) I strongly suggest SystemVerilog. The support from Altera is outstanding. It is coming for Xilinx and eventually the other FPGA vendors. It is 100% compatible with verilog and has many of the niceties of VHDL. See blog.asicsolutions.com. I'm a bit behind, but I intend to update soon.
Sorry, I call BS coming from NH.
There has been a property tax here for 20 years (as long as I've been here) at least.
The difference is that the property tax and business taxes are the only taxes. What this means is that towns with no business
have much higher property taxes than those that don't.
But... I've got lower property taxes on a 1 acre lot near a lake in NH than people I know on a postage stamp in Taxachusetts.
And, get this, no state income tax, and really hold onto you hats, no sales tax.
Also, guns are very easy to get, so....

You can buy a new one, but it's "made in China."
Someone will figure out how to hack it and use it for whatever you want.
