It was recently revealed that Plaid Cymru (a political party campaigning for the right of the Welsh to self-government) has been spied on by the UK govt for most of the latter part of the last century (1950-).
As a member, that worries me, and goes back to the previous post - when your views do not coincide with that of the government, who watches the watchers?
Technically I am an eneny of the state (as long as I can be Gene Hackman;-) ) in that I wish to see a new form of government here....

I suggest you take a close look at Europe, whether several nation states have had socialist governnments over the last ten years following the downfall of Communism. The UK has a left-of centre socialist govt at the moment - dont see no terror or aggressive expansionism here.
In fact expansionism is more a policy of the far right then anything.

Anyway, all was good till I started getting odd phonecalls from Mail Order catalogues - like "Pay for the chainsaw you ordered" and "Pay for this" and "pay for that".
Turns out that any junk mail stuff the new owners were getting in my name they were applying for! This took an absolute age for me to sort out. What doesn't help is my surname (being Polish) is pretty distinctive - and seeing as I took my phone number with me they'd phone me up and cause merry hell. I had baliff's arrive HERE as well. Gas board claimed I owed them £600 when a combination of "We never received your change-of-address" (yeah right, I had a receipt) and a less-then-honest new tenant moves in.
Would you argue against a man with a chain saw?
Anyway, it seems to have gone quiet, so far so good. But it is WAY too easy to forge your identity if you want too.

But say it did happen.One day late in a lab with a finite improbability drive and a nice hot cup of tea I make the breakthrough, marring quantum chromodynamics, metaphysics and crochet to create the ultimate machine - a replicator.
It does make you wonder how we would transform from a currency driven society to a service driven society, and how bad the transition would be. Particularly if the change was sudden rather then gradual - which is what happened with Napster - it was a sudden transition.
Who would be the winners - who would be the losers (probably those wearing the mu-mu's no doubt)!

Any new "NT" boxes I install are gonna be Samba from now on. Im not an open source zealot and I can see the use of open and closed source at times, but man, MS are making me sick to the stomach of this.
Grow up MS, face some competition without being an asshole about it.
