You're missing the point, entirely. The problem with the picture is that it's a photo of Cmdr. Taco touching a giant ball in front of Pixar's HQ, underneath 4 lines of text (on my screen) about his trip. At the least, post a gallery of something, anything and write more about... other things... am I asking too much?
Personally, I do not feel safe unless having my cavities are sore and my bags emptied on the counter. The sound of parents angry about their kids getting groped reassures me like only the sight of an MP5 can.
Cool story man! Keep 'em coming! I liked the part where you visited Pixar and took the picture with the ball and there was that lamp right beyond you omg lookout lol hahaha anyway man keep in touch would love to read more on that trip to Lucasfilm! Take care! BTW have you seen my bong? Can't find it anywhere, I'm thinking it's either you that put it in your bag mistaking it for the darker one (yours) or Amanda... you know how she is! LOL ok take care Taco peace out
I tried it on Windows, yes, maybe that's why it wasn't a good experience. The point of my post was mostly to poke fun at the pathetic Packt reviews, I guess my experience of Scribus is limited and should've been left out. "Adobe rules"? Where the fuck did you get that? The only Adobe software I use is the Flash plugin for Firefox.
Thanks for the clarification. That's disappointing for the near future, but the fact that they've accomplished such impressive results is encouraging at least.
This religious devotion probably came from the climate when it was first released... like Jobs proudly revolting against IBM... or today's "I'm a Mac", "I USE LINUX", etc. The cult members can't see the cult as what it is, objectively... they see their god. Personally, "I'm a meh and I use stuff".
The Amazon reviews are even better: "Scribus 1.3.5 Beginner's Guide by Cedric Gemy published by Packt Publishing is a delicious feast of Scribus knowledge for both beginner and intermediate user alike."
"We will use the technology that Kaczynski railed against in his various manifestos to sell artifacts of his life. [...]" said U.S. Marshal Albert Nájera of the Eastern District of California in a statement.
Holy shit, dude! I just found out about this thing where the phone company (those evil fuckers) put your address in this large book with white pages. It even has your name and phone number too. How will we ever survive in this modern world where we have all these totally new privacy issues that have never come up before?
I'm not calling BS on this but do you have any proof of your claims? What's the name of the book?
If I didn't want the data available to the world, I wouldn't put it there in the first place.
Duh..
Also:
If you don't want your real personal info available to the world, you never give your real info in the first place. If you're technically-savvy enough, you can alter your footprint considerably as well...
Scaled to the size of the Library of Congress, its shape would diverge from that of a perfect sphere by less than 0.00049 dead interns in the closet. Or 0.0033 homosexual affairs with assistants, for the Republicans...
The UN in general, and certainly UNESCO in specific, is not important to the real world in any way, shape or form.
A lot of local economies would beg to differ. All kinds of communities around the globe have wanted their local sites to be recognized by UNESCO, because it increases tourism remarkably. Also, UNESCO has done good work empowering some indigenous communities and helping them challenge exploitation and discrimination, especially in the Americas.
You coud've stopped at "local economies would beg to differ"... they probably don't consider the UN so insignificant, what with UN members continuously raping their resources dry.
I did check my PMs, twice already and still nothing. Are you sure you clicked on my name?

I was sure it was a Yes Men stunt until I saw it was posted on RS's official YT channel. I'm kinda disappointed in a way...
Ah damn... the grammar nazis are gonna have a field day with me now... Might as well go all the way: your stupid. Right than and their.

A couple of think-tanks already got you beat by a decade, sorry buddy.

When you feel the need to post because of a missing ' maybe you need some time off from the computer, or simply refrain from posting said concern...

Scribus is a bug-ridden waste of time, but I appreciate the effort that went into this book and its reviews!
Is YOUR speech as pointless as your comment?
"We will use the technology that Kaczynski railed against in his various manifestos to sell artifacts of his life. [...]" said U.S. Marshal Albert Nájera of the Eastern District of California in a statement.
You're right, I say we hang him for treason!

If you don't like it, tell it to your fellow countrymen that justify this perception.
You'd see the shape if all the universe was scaled down as well... maybe the solar system was a good example after all!
Scale down your imaginary poking finger and the notion of shape will remain the same. Worked for me!

Gaza's got pyramids? Is that what all the fuss over there is about?
