    I can see how this would be a problem in real-time... for pre-rendered, lossless would be preferred in most situations.

    I'm guessing you do more TV watching than actual work. For a casual home computer user like yourself, that's fine. But let's be real: 1920x1080 has absolutely no place in the workplace unless your job is editing 1080 video.

    I agree that China is much, much worse for exactly those reasons... But while not entirely censored, political speech in the US is still marginalized if contrary to the "acceptable" norm. The government doesn't even need to make much effort either, the population has been raised to do it for them now.

    If you're gonna go that route, do some research on who else was being friendly with the Nazis while officially at war with them... hint: it's a lot closer to home than you'd think! Where do I start, IBM or Prescott Bush (Bush Jr.'s good ole grandpa)? GE or Ford? Mind you this continued well after it had been made illegal to do business with those Nazis the terrible Swedes sold things to.

    A flight attendant once got mad when she noticed my CD player was spinning, not too long before take-off. I'm still confused as to how that could've been a danger, unless she was worried I wouldn't hear emergency instructions or notice the oxygen masks dropping if we crashed. And it was AC/DC by the way, what a bitch!

    I think the US education system has a lot more problems on its hands... Not that video games aren't one of them, but I'm pretty sure excessive narcotic consumption is a lot more detrimental to one's willpower and desire to succeed than competitive gameplay.
