    Not only are GM foods unnecessary, we still have no idea of the problems they cause, or in many cases choose to ignore them for the sake of profit. It's another form of pollution. Just like an oil spill. Only this might not clean up so easily.

    With the amount of food the US plows under, the numbers are horribly distorted. Good farming practices, and a sudden outbreak of peace in other parts of the world make GM foods unnecessary. Simply being "efficient" does not necessarily constitute "good farming practice". GM foods are designed to serve the economy, not actually do anything about starvation.

    It would be nice if all our governments were actually interested in our well being, instead of profiteering from human misery and the sale of contraband.

    Considering the current reported crime rate on civilians...

    The press can get pretty hysterical and very sensationalistic, with lots of gory pictures right there on the front page. For the most part the shooters aren't attacking strangers. They go after each other and the cops. There's very little that's random. Just don't get too chummy with any newspaper or TV reporters :-) All in all there's plenty of reasons I'd rather be here than in, say, Detroit

    ...but you have to draw the line someplace.

    That's right! 18 years..max! Take it or leave it. And record companies can become simple hired press agents without no exclusivity and can get paid a small commission AFTER the creator gets paid. Real competition..the horror! I don't suppose you could ever get used to the idea that recordings are promotional material to entice people to pay for a performance as opposed to the recording actually being the performance. That's like the dummies who pay to receive a phone call, or a text message. Wow! If only my line of work worked like that...

    Anything that exposes the atrocity of copyright law to the average person can only produce some great blowback. Just like all the youtube takedowns. And many are already getting pissed about not being able to copy their DVDs to their mp3 players. Bring it on! Eventually we will vote you out!
