I'm on my second T-Mobile Blackberry (Bold 9700) that has this capability, and they work great for WiFi calling. I work out of my basement, and there weren't a lot of options for cell reception. I don't subscribe to their WiFi calling, which means calls use my minutes, but they have a $10/mo plan for unlimited calls over WiFi.
We use ImageMagick behind the scenes on our website to combine images of letters of the alphabet into name prints that are appropriately sized for printing. It's an incredible tool for that purpose.
We recently picked up a Sigma SA-7 from Ritz Camera in a package deal that came with two lenses for under $300. Sigma primarily makes lenses for other cameras, and their camera is actually pretty good, too. The features are right up there with more expensive Canon and Nikon cameras.
According to Lucas, the droids have their memories erased prior to Episode IV. Now, does Obi-Wan also have his memory erased so he doesn't remember the droids??
I can see it now: folks cruisin' the strip in Manch Vegas with their tricked-out Segways. Ground effect lighting, bass tubes, racing stripes, extra-wide tires...
Imagine riding this thing during the lunch hour in a crowded downtown area (pick the city of your choice).
What if I choose downtown Manchester, NH, home of Segway, for your example? Low population, wide sidewalks, no problem! And with global warming, winter conditions won't be an issue either! Maybe Dean needs to take a closer look at what a real city is like during lunch hour rather than just looking out his window?
I think the Treo is a good idea, but the fact that it is GSM-only makes it of no value to me. One reason I have a cell phone is for emergencies where I may be stranded with a flat tire somewhere in rural New Hampshire. I won't take the risk that my GSM phone won't work, so I will only carry a phone that supports analog in addition to digital.
I've been using Mozilla for around 6 months now and subjecting my girlfried to it. I was ready to admit defeat until the latest version came along. E-mail is finally stable, and the program works great.
The only problem I still have is with plugins. Many plugins assume you're running IE or Netscape, so they look for those directories and don't give you the option to choose the Mozilla plugins directory. If I remember correctly, Quicktime is an offender of this. What you need to do is keep Netscape on your system so plugins will install and then copy the plugins to Mozilla's directory. Very annoying, but I hope it will go away with increasesd support for Mozilla.
The browser war isn't over!
The strength of BlackJack seems to be the real-time accuracy. Regular GPS has to sit in one spot for a long time to get an accurate measurement, and real-time kinematic (RTK) is only differential as I understand it. Meaning, it is accurate and real-time relative to another GPS receiver but not relative to the globe.

Super Splash 3D is kinda fun shareware to try if the web can't provide enough edu-tainment:

Perhaps modern cats are descendants of this wired kitty, which would explain their fear of water.

Well, maybe there are new & improved agents designed to go up against The One?
