Actually the lack of a name. I can't believe they've never noticed this. All the wannabees still insist on branding their products with the company name. The only thing you will find on the iPod is an apple, and usually it's barely visible (not to mention that it's on the back). Want to really compete? Make a product that relys on good looks and functionality sans advertising.

A billion degrees?!!! That's damn hot! How do we manage to send spacecraft to the other planets (or the moon for that matter) when there is such an obstacle surrounding us? Could the conspiracy theorists be right?

This is a little rumor I heard from a freind that works for Panasonic (Matsushita). He says they are dabbling with their own embedded linux for some of their phone systems. Maybe they don't want to share.
LabVeiw is a little jewel of a development system. Its graphical nature makes it ideal for young programers. It's also very object oriented and analogous to C so you'll be learnin'em right. You can get an eval at www.ni.com. It is also available for Linux, Windows, Mac, Solaris, and HP.
Let's face it. Most recording artists are in the business to make money. Lots of money. If I enjoy listening to music then I should support those artists that I like by buying their music rather than ripping it off. The prevailing attitude today however is that we deserve everything and we should get it as soon as we want it. Napster works into that quite well. Soon enough, the only way you will be able to hear new music is by attending live performances that you had to pay an arm and a leg to get into. There is something to be said for delayed gratification afterall.
Conspiracy #1: Mars rover found life on mars. The subsequent images were witheld from even the Mission crew. Rover was deactivated or possibly directed to switch to a secure communication channel. All subsequent missions that can provide close up data will be sabotaged or postponed until the powers that be can cover up their discoveries.
