That is so over. Nowadays everyone is trying to i plement LISP badly
That is what makes Ruby so compelling, it took many ideas from Smalltalk, instead of Algol/C/Pascal/Java like all the other wannabe languages like Python.
Same here, although I have to say the work once rented Indesign for a specific job that lasted a month for about 40 Dollars. That was a bargain, it would have been much, much, harder to do the job properly if we could not use it, and buying it for a use-once scenario was not realistic budget-wise. 40 Dollars is less than one hour of my time, so it is a bargain.
"VR trend arrived a full decade later than it should have"
Why SHOULD it have? Just because you want it true does not make it so. The technology was not there (and, to be honest, still ain't).
"the hardware industry still hasn't given us anything resembling photorealistic realtime 3D graphics"
Do you even have any idea what you are talking about? I started with a TRS-80 with 128x48 graphics in '79, have written a ray tracer in my day, on a 386, am a fair expert in the field and I am stunned by what the hardware industry have given us. The problem with Photorealistic Realtime is that you have to do global illumination to make it realistic, which, with today's tech, is not realistic. This is a HARD problem. Again, just because your fantasy demands that it be true does not make it so.
God where do you get your women from?? I have been together with mine for 20 years, she has a (very) good job, both of us take care of the kids and all is happy and well. They are not all like that
The problem with newer BT peripheralw is that, for some reason, they are all now using bluetooth 4LE which is entirely another protocol which was not designed for HID devices. Why mice need to hack HID over BLE if the original standard worked better is a mystery to me.
My MS BT 4 mouse sucks. The apple magic mouse is OK, but the logitech non-BT mice are much better.
And that was a reasonable reply to thos forum how? I dont own a car and i dont comment in car forums. Imdont own a dildo and i dont comment in dildo forums. Thanks for wasting a part of my day.
Maybe you are an android with a metal skeleton that interferes. I have never had any problems with BT and I use it every day as a tethered modem with my phone, both from a Macbook, ipad, andoid tablets and another android phone. The headset works fine too, no hassles. In fact, this is posted from an ipad over a BT link in a train
Uhm, Ruby is pretty much based on Smalltalk so I would have to disagree
Bingo.
If yiu want to work with all the good parts of Smalltalk, try Ruby

Until 3 years ago we ran an industrial solar lamp field that had the controller running on DOS.total PITA because the network stack is not very good
...is what, exactly?
Welcome to married life honey...
You think life stinks. Its ok, get up and get out of the room and it will be better again

So, how is life on the other side? Tell us! Is Elvis there? Was there a light when you crossed?? We want to know!
If anyone flees an accusation for rape there would be an outcry. But when it. Is old Jules thespineless liberals cry foul.
Assange is a RAPIST. He sexually assaulted a woman.
Same way macosx works today, mostly
Bingo
"smoke" is perhaps the wrong word here...but ok I see your point
The first K6 chips were killer too, really outgunned Intel there. twice the performance for half the price sort of good. Sold like hotcakes.
Not true. Most of the stuff that programs do are totally dependent on the speed of a) a Database b) an Online web service c) a File system.
In those cases Caches are definitely used, a lot. And you get 95% of your speed gains from there.

If 'very quickly' means 'before it comes out' i think your standards are maybe a bit too high. Even Apple cant buy a time machine
No. Really.
Bingo
Well, we are already at v5 here...
