I've done it and I never regained my 20/20 vision. I saw well for the first 3 months after that I needed glasses again. I didn't mind it was a good improvement.
The bad part and I mean really bad is the glare! I can't drive at night anymore. There are a number of times I came close to a serious accident. Even though I still wear glasses the glare I see is really bad. It's been 2 years and it hasn't gone away.
I was routing for Jango Fett! Especially against OB1. Lucas made it look like he was protecting Boba.
His character didn't make any sense to me. He's a bounty hunter, a quick shooter, a plain human, fights jedi, a protective father and helps create an clone army for the Sith.? It wasn't clear if he even knew what the army was used for nor why.
The army he helped create ended up fighting against the droid army of the boss he was working for?? He's killed by the jedi's?
A person who has to carry a family with him and fight along side the bad guys has to be an idealist or a fundamentalist extremist. There was an opportunity lost here by george lucas.
In TPM I was also cheering for Darth Maul. I thought he was so cool going against two Jedi's at the same time! Darth Maul was the most popular character in his movie. That was another opportunity George Lucas lost here.
I feel George Lucas doesn't know how to express his stories. People like bad guys. The best bad guy are those that believe in what they're doing is right.
Right now all he has is Darth Vader to carry his stories. I suggest Mr Lucas read the Xmen comic books and take a look at Magneto. Now that's a good bad guy people route for!
I was laughing inside at how stupid the Jedi's were to pop in that arena. What a stupid idea! My suggestion is to allow Stephen Speilberg do the last one. I'm sure he'll put together something that will make sense.
electrical engineers always deal with low level programming. There's no use in learning C# they're going to program in C anyways. Why not teach C instead???
Its very hard but you have to set your schedule outside class hours and even including study time. I noticed that including study time into my schedule on fixed days really helped me a lot.
The hardest part was trying to have a life outside school and work.
Most of all I make it very clear to my coworkers and boss that my time during these periods are off limits. PERIOD! they can't force you to work in these hours.
The management at my company always want quick fix solutions and don't seam to respect the development cycle.
As a result the design ends up being awful by my standards, the code is not commented enough and documentation is either left out or incomplete. We end up spending more time maintaining and fixing the software down the road then if they just simply given us the proper time to design!
To be fair MIT should pay royalties for the use of the Radix artwork but Horizon Comics just wants a piece of the 40 million dollar grant.
Believe me, this guy is from Montreal. He must be an a s s.
His statement about permanently damaging his comic is ubsurd!
Future soldiers are going to wear some sort of power suit. Does this mean that all comics which show their characters in a power suit are damaged too? NO!
His comic was already doomed from the start from crappy story writing.
My advice is to stay slow. If they force you to work longer hours work slower, don't make the deadlines. It's not your fault you are heavily under staffed. It's not your fault you didn't make the deadline its the manager's fault by not hiring enough resources. plain and simple.
This is an industry FACT: The more you work the more they'll squeeze!
You shouldn't work yourself to death just for some bonehead manager. Programmers have a life outside of work too. Make it so clear that its more cost effective to get more resources. don't take any s h i t!
If they just let the language or API or JVM be industry standard maybe it could have taken off on the client side. But then again we may never know.
Why does Sun feel the need to control Java so much? I want Sun to free its grip on Java and allow it to be ISO standard. Let the industry decide its worth. MAybe another company can redesign a better VM than Sun? Why NOT? Why can't they?
Just look at C++, its ISO standard, fast, flexible, powerful and its hear to stay. The only thing negative about C++ is its complexity.
And its getting easier and easier to program in C++ with its STL. I admit I've been drawn back into it. There's plenty of nice cross-platform libraries to choose from making code reuse easy.
Code reuse on Java is easier but there almost always some sort of bug or change you still have to do. I've never had a java app where there was some wierd bug on one plaform and not on the other. Yeah, you can say its the JVM that's buggy but there's only one VM to choose from, one platform, Sun's platform!
So screw SUN! C++ rulez. My C++ code even looks like my Java code. I rarely use crazy pointers, just references. I don't have to use all of the language features to get what I want out of it.
And why the heck are universities teaching a proprietary language and not a standard language?
Fair statement but you have to understand that Microsoft is guilty of using their monopoly to undermine Java. We don't even know if Java would have succeeded or not.
If they just played it fair I believe Java would have died out anyways.
Now they have to compensate Sun by helping Java now. Looks like we are going to be stuck with one slow cross-platform platform!
The M$ corporation would like to announce crapL! - Faster and easier to program. (Just program in CRAP) - Guaranteed to crap faster than any other M$ language. - Guaranteed to crap faster then Linux. - Do all your productive thinking sitting on the toilet. - Ever have that bloated feeling? Now you can take that feeling and use it in our new programming language, crapL.
I used Mandrake and I like it. My beef is with them. I had the pleasure in meeting some of their people here in Montreal. Let me just say that they have only a few good people there. I mean good as in good people not skills.
Mandrake's problem is within Mandrake itself. I hope they wither away and DIE!
Did you know the US killed the Taliban leader's 10 year old son too? They also destroyed a UN office building with UN workers inside.
Moreoever, did you know a cruise missile intentionally hit a gov't office building in Serbia during the day full of regular people? This wasn't on CNN nor the other major channels. A lot of people burned alive in that building!
May I also mention how many cubans are starving right now? Why? R they really dangerous?
They wonder why so many hate them. Plus don't forget they also hate us Canadians as well. We support their every move. Shame on us.
I don't believe violence will solve anything because the attack was a violent response to the US's poor policies in the middle east. It will never end until somebody finally listens.
Richard Gere even tried to plea for peace at a benefit concert a while back and he was bood of the stage. (shame)
Both sides believe they are the good guys. They don't realize that they are both the bad guys.

Please do not do this.

BTW the best movie is ESB. hands down.

I love you sir. :-)
We go through the very same thing at my company.

Way to go M$!
you took the words right out of my mouth. I love linux but damn I have no choice but to use windows for my real work too.
Who cares about the lindows?
I think a pentium 4 1.7 ghz machine for just 500 bucks sounds like a good deal to me.
Its nice to see linux machines being sold out at major store outlets.

I hope it works out. We need a standard commercial linux distro.
The advantage to this is that they can share resources and release packages that will work between them.
I don't know about you but I'm really glad they didn't choose to base on Redhat's RPM.
I thinks its Badgers not Badgees
Being a web developer I think this is fabulous!
I'm going to give this tool a try.
I used Mandrake and I like it. My beef is with them. I had the pleasure in meeting some of their people here in Montreal. Let me just say that they have only a few good people there.

Is it just me or is SUN shooting themselves in the foot?
The only competition SUN has is themselves and they can't evem compete with that.
tsk tsk.
I had the tandy 1000sl.
It had deskmate too. Remember that dinky hangman game? boy this brings back memories!
I remember spending countless nights playing barren realms, trade wars, globalwar, etc...
My next computer was a pentium 100 mhz. Can you image how hard it was for me to get used to win95?!
I'm scared of dogs. :-)
She looks very good to me. I don't know what you are talking about. If I had a chance I would ask her out.
Hey, Maybe I'll get lucky and she'll email me! lol
Actually, I think she looks good in both the playboy and in real life.
:-)
Maybe it's just me.

If the US really wants to win this "war" they better start working with the people that hate them rather then pushing them around.
Nobody likes a bully.
Have you ever wondered how many poeple died as a direct cause of US foreign policies? were talking thousands too.
Let these poor people have their internet. If you want terrorists go in there and get them!
I learned Delphi in college. I liked it a lot and but I still wouldn't use it.
Why? Because it's pascal!
If Kylix was C++ or better yet C# I would definitly use it.
