The only way any non-white country ever did anything technical is by stealing it from someone else, right?!
NO, but there is a history. For large progects like space and advance weps, things that we have done FIRST, tend to get riped off in other countries. My point was that the second( or sixth, seventh...) country to do something almost always watched the first and learned from them.
Could we spoof them with a shit load of traffic? Sort of like the sig that people where adding to their e-mail to get
Echelon? Someone could make a.vbs file that created a lot of junk traffic to and from a windows GnuTella client. I see
them gathering a lot of harmful info on us, but they not only have to get the info, but they have to use it, and do it in a way
that is profitable for them . we probably can't stop them from getting it, but we could make it hard to use any of it.

Simply put, they would need a very big rocket. MIR natuaraly wants to fall in the the earth, gravity is pullying on it. to put it into the sun you would need to put a really big rocket on it and get it closer to the sun so that the pull would be grater. Note that the formula for gravity is (MASS)(GRAVITY CONSTANT)/(DISTANCE) I think, anyway the sun does have a very large mass so you would think that it waould have a stronger pull than the Earth. But Mir is only 100-200 miles at most from the earth, where as the sun is millions, So the pull of gravity from the sun on to Mir is very small comapred to the earth. A simple comparison would be to put a book on a desk. would it be easier to push it off the table to get it on to the ground? or would it be easier to lift it to the roof?
Clearly a push is easier, A push right in to the pacific, and I hope, on to the Taco Bell target
they are not making a law that says everyone has to filter. They are simply saying that if you want this money you have to agree by these terms, I don't like it but they are alowed to decide how money is spent. And if they want to make you dance around a bush to get the money they can( just wait for the next election)
You are a little late on this one, congress has been doing this for way to long. But here's the point. Thier not making a law that says everyone has to filter, ONLY if you take thier money. Sadly they can put any string on the cash they want. Somewhere along the way they decided that withholding Goverment ( OUR ) money was not the same as passing a coverall law. So Congress is only withholding money, not forcing anyone to do anything, B/C you can always not take the money( Not my opinion, but thats the way it is)
So in the end they are just deciding how to spend money, well within thier rights.
The sad thing is that every time congress proposes to give money to a program everyone jumps on board Yelling "YA lets do it!" but years latter after that program starts to depend on the cash, they go and add strings to the money. their like drug dealers, "hey man this ones free....."
There has been alot of questions about the DMCA, but I want you too tell us clear out. Did you vote for the DMCA? If you were not elected then( I'm from FL, I don't know your history) Would you vote for it today?
Nasa claims now that they know the cause for the non functional probe. Nasa has discribed a " little green hacker seating next to the probe. NASA has discribed the little green guy as a "teenage student picked on by his peers"......
I guy bought the London bridge and had it shipped piece by piece to the US. There is a story about him filling out the custom form on the plane ride back. One bridge.......
Being the loser I am I couldn't get any where in the sims and I quikly grew tirded of it. Telling my sims to go to the bathroom every day got old real fast. I can hardly think of a way to port this to TV
it was meant more as a funny post. like MS was trying to change things and look good. but o well, I think we all have a little troll in us.....in fact what is that on your nose?....

But the boy's mother accused AOL of enforcing its rules so poorly that it became a "home
shopping network for pedophiles and child pornographers," she said.
she does have a point here, the problem is it applies to the entire internet. Not just AOL. now Kiddies the next question is. How do we stop this crap?
You still have the contract right??!?!?! if you do take it and run. never trust advise from the other side. Taking thier word for it is nuts, it' like saddam telling the prez that bombing is not the right thing to do. he may be right but you had better talk to some one else
I hope the get this new TLD thing to wark. things just work better when there is some other company to fight for market share. it's a good thing when a group is looking over there sholder to see of there is another person there to take them over.
The sad thing is Information is so valuable. the would never open up a database like this, I drowl at the thought but can't help think that this is 10 years off.
