    of course much of the atoms are the same, and you don't see them all at once. most of it is calculated, somewhat like fractals. so you don't really need as much storage.

    reusable? probably not.. at least not like flash drives because of scratches and dirt. plus you'd have to wait a long time to write the tiny file because of leadin+leadout.
    and plastic is not environment friendly..

    whitelisting, perhaps. or make an ''debugger antivirus' that would allow advanced users to analyze suspicious small executables by themselves. or 'behaviour analysis' but thats already used, I guess.

    its sad that we have to remove functionality to be more secure. I do like noscript and use it all the time, but the problem is more and more websites require js for simple tasks. wish there was a better way, for eg using user interaction to select which part of js are 100% ok or something like that. or perhaps whitelisting md5sums of common scripts (if that hasn't been already done). ironically, posting this comment seems to require some scripts turned on.

    perhaps the 'good guys' could set up a network of honeypots to locate most nodes. then shut them down in cooperation with ISPs. guess it will come to that sooner or later.

    WD is bundling newer sata controller with 3tb drives, presumably its 64bit or something.
    I would hope that with 4kb blocks, limit for older SATA is 16Tb, once they drop 512byte emulation.

    I already have port for radeon gfx.
    you do as you like, but I am not gonna waste money on that thunderbolt thingy.

    mobile internet prices is about supply and demand and competition like everything else, also probably not an easy thing to do.
    otherwise, go develop your own basestations and network and make $$$..

    well, in that case, I would hope new PCs will have more eSATA connectors. also there is an option to simply turn internal connectors to eSATA with a simple, *cheap* cable and bracket.
    for me as an ordinary, mortal, consumer SATA3 and even SATA2 speeds are more than enough.

    'mighty' Apple can run whatever they want in "themCloud in themWorld"..
    oh, and another PCI standard is just what I don't want. it seems to me they are doing it to force us buying new cards and stuff.

    I like eSATA much much more. After all, the drives are SATA already. anything else will just bring in more latency.

    also price is important, and what most people use. for the same reasons, I dislike firewire, scsi, sas..

    I like the idea, but what about bunch of other, custom, programs? unfortunately users have a lot of crap in their startup-sequence they 'need'.
    also, given size of newer windows installations, you'd need huge ROM and they aren't cheap. perhaps price would be ok if you used usb flash type.
