I'm 18, and i can say this is not/completely/ true. Yes, most media I watch is pirate or otherwise, but I don't completely skip out on paying for things.
If i really like something, especially something obscure where the creator isn't sitting on a pile of cash, i'll do my best to make the effort to buy a copy, just to give back a little. Plus, it can be nice to have a physical copy, though certainly not necessary.
Also, sometimes i'll go to see a movie in a theater, not even entirely for the movie, but for the fun of it, to do something with a friend or etc. It's not that physical and priced media have no value, it's simply that they aren't worth what they're sold for to most consumers. Piracy is simply the market's response to not buy what it thinks is overpriced.
Some people like languages that are more "readable" - use words over symbols, but I far prefer symbol-heavy languages, where most readable things are variables and objects. I guess to me, it makes symbols, particularly structural ones (code blocks, etc) easier to pick out at a glance, since they're unique in their usage, not a sea of letters. I think it depends on the kind of coding too, though. I tend to work with relatively abstracted and object-driven things.
Yeah, this is what i always tell friends that freak out about this. The disease isnt all that bad, they're just worrying about possible mutation. So we're freaking out over a new cold.
"The best bet right now is understanding bird behavior, although an intriguing old pilots' tale â" that radar can scatter birds â" may carry enough truth to ultimately offer a viable technical solution to a deadly problem. 'We need to find out, is that an urban legend or is there some truth to that?'
Isn't that what the mythbusters are for? c'mon guys.
Does car insurance make your car run worse? Would make more sense to have to submit yourself to some kind of vulnerability test, and there would still be lots of problems with that too.
Didn't we already know about anonymous? This is just the different face of the same thing.
People already have tendencies for this sort of thing, the internet just lets them work together. You don't need a very large portion of the internet fighting for your cause to have a force to be reckoned with.
Would it say "(Recommended)" next to IE? ;P
Will they also ship with a wget equivelant and/or a lynx-style browser? If it comes with nothing, how will we download firefox?

If i pirate something to see if i like it, and then buy it because I do, do I count as a lost sale to them?
Receiver boxes can do decoding too. And anyway, non-digital un-drm'd cable is still offered many places, even in the US.
Subnote: I also use a good bit of C# (yes, i know evil M$, but you can blame my employer for that)
I guess people are different

But... we EAT pigs.... are you saying we're cannibals?

Yes, i agree, D13 H4rD G4M3RZ are far too fat to play Wii games.
It's all good, i bet storm and conficker were NSA test projects.
Why don't we ask Gordon Freeman?
Real math geeks hate showing their work.
Also, fwiw, FORTRAN is too wordy imo. But I hatehatehate vb, and people seem to learn okay from that, so I don't know.
Something like Java or a C-variant might be better, since they're not too wordy, but aren't too hard to jump into either.
Mind control might work.
They would probably cause issues with drag and engine performance at such speeds, though i'm just guessing.

What about this?

Customers will also be allowed to apply for refunds for up to 60 days after being charged.
Are you saying you read the EULA for every piece of software you use? For most of us with jobs and limited time, that's not a reasonable reality.
Maybe once we crowdsource the rest of reality too. Right now, weapons seem to be a lot less free than information.
There's no dash in camwhore, silly.
If two versus one is rarely a fair fight, what can be said for two million verses one? It's a scary reality.

might as well be *AA anymore.
