3- and 4- dual-slot (and potentially dual-GPU!) desktops? How will you be paying?
At a guess, I'd say that most of the people with that sort of card are single/childless/both and so have the spare cash not to care, or were bought them by their parents and so aren't.
I use both Eclipse and VS, and personally think that Eclipse wipes the floor with VS despite its annoyances. If I had to name just one killer feature for me, it's the out-of-the-box refactoring support; yes VS has some, but it's pitiful compared to that in Eclipse. There are other things, like the keyboard short-cut to open a resource (I work with some quite large and admittedly relatively poorly organised codebases in VS and it can often be frustrating to try to find the source of a given class on name alone), but the refactoring support alone is enough for me.
I'm curious though to hear what it is that makes you prefer VS over Eclipse.
Not to disagree with your main point (as I actually completely agree with it), but different people need different amounts of sleep. I'm fine with 7, and can easily get by with 6 for a few days at a time. I've known people who need less than that, and others who are useless if they don't get 10.
If we extend your "if you don't like the price, don't use the service" advice to the real world, you will see that despite having far more choice in e.g. where to eat, where to shop, etc, there are even more laws governing business practices.
Just because people are free to take their business elsewhere doesn't mean businesses should be free to do whatever they like.
Besides in this case there is no removal of anyone's rights; you still have the right not to have your child vaccinated, just don't expect the State to support your decision by continuing to allow you to claim certain tax breaks and assorted other benefits.
I don't consider copying the DVD you purchased to a hard drive that you purchased so that you can watch a movie on the TV you purchased without jumping through hoops to be criminal.
Well you can argue all you want as to whether or not it should be criminal, but the law itself seems pretty clear to me.
I strictly believe in a right to believe your religion in peace. So I will not say that the very idea of Creationism is wrong, If I (and they) want to believe that, it is my(/our) right.
That's fine, but by the same token you have to afford us the same right - to say that we believe that Creationism is wrong.
Actually most of the cases recently I've read about where people have claimed religious discrimination because their beliefs conflict with some aspect of their job have lost - e.g. the couple who owned the B&B who refused to allow a gay couple to share a double room.
I believe you should be able to charge whatever you want for something, but that you shouldn't be allowed to lie about it in order to try to sell it. This appears to be what Dell is doing here.
That may be the case, but I really can't see how they would have a leg to stand on (unless there's some sort of "but no paying them to continue producing the hardware for you!" clause I guess).
If you actually care, do something constructive like speaking to your representatives. Moaning about it on here does nothing but waste time and energy that could be directed at trying to make a difference.
The.xxx domain is not the best solution theoretically possible, but I don't have any real hope that all internet users will suddenly figure out how to keep their libidos in check.
And what's wrong with indulging one's libido from time to time?
It's more than just that. Dehydration is a symptom not the cause itself, and sometimes drinking more water will not help because you're actually lacking electrolytes. In fact in those cases drinking too much water will make you worse, not better.
If you know that your son has good chances at being better at something, you might think it's a good idea to let him try out those sports to see if he enjoys them and can exploit that "advantage".
Fair enough, though personally I let my daughter try whatever she wants (within reason for her age, etc, of course) regardless of whether or not I think she might be good at it.
Well on Windows it has a couple of services running in the background whether it's running or not (presumably to provide the "launch iTunes when you connect your iDevice" functionality, amongst other things), requires Quicktime and tends to try to bring Safari along for the party, so in that sense it's bloated when all *I* wanted it for was to get music onto my iPod.
Sure, it does a lot more, but if you don't want those features then *to you* they're just bloat.
Actually I tend to find that a good way to get modded up is to include something to the effect that you know you'll be modded down; that usually does the trick.
Two things - firstly, as the other AC has already said food Calories are kcal. Also I don't know about your country, but in mine the RDA for calorie consumption in adults is 2000 kcal, not 1000.
I don't know about the US, but here in the UK that's definitely not true for businesses that are open to the public, e.g. shops. The shop most certainly is not a public space, and the proprietor can exclude people for (almost) any reason they choose (with the obvious proviso that some laws trump that - e.g. you can't exclude someone solely on the basis of race).
I'd be very surprised if the law were any different for websites.

Your body needs eight hours of sleep
Not to disagree with your main point (as I actually completely agree with it), but different people need different amounts of sleep. I'm fine with 7, and can easily get by with 6 for a few days at a time. I've known people who need less than that, and others who are useless if they don't get 10.

So you'd cut off my nose, to spite your face?
Besides in this case there is no removal of anyone's rights; you still have the right not to have your child vaccinated, just don't expect the State to support your decision by continuing to allow you to claim certain tax breaks and assorted other benefits.

I've not had a lot of sleep, but I don't see where he's used "accept" incorrectly.

While that's true the Mail really is the embodiment of everything that is bad about the British press, with a xenophobic streak a mile wide.
You do realise he's taking the piss, don't you?
I have seen religious discrimination claims on other grounds
As have I, but while I do remember some that were unsuccessful, I don't remember any where the claimant won.

Interesting, that you appear to assume that he wanted to filter out porn, rather than filter out non-porn (or crap porn).

Then he should have said "copyrighted", not "copy-written", which is an entirely different thing altogether.
