IMHO, nuclear is better than fossil fuels, but really both of them should be seen as abbreviated stepping stones to hydrogen and other renewable fuels, and not cash cows to be stretched out as long as possible. Because from where I'm sitting there isn't a fire burning under anyone's ass to develop the technology or invest in the infrastructure that is eventually going to make hydrogen or another renewable fuel as cheap and available as petroleum. That one Honda Prius you see a month is a nice start but a clear sign of just how long we have to go.

What the hell does pointing out the fact that there are millions of white people living below the poverty line and a couple hundred or thousand black people making millions as athletes prove other than that blacks in America have three tried and true paths to the American dream: Catching a ball, rappin on mic, or slinging crack. There are more African American men in jail than college. The fact remains African Americans are still in a socioeconomic strata well below that of Caucasians, and President Shrub's 'upward redistribution of wealth' economic policies are only aggravating the situation.
The kind of unwitting reverse racism you have espoused makes me ill, so does the fact that I'm the only person to criticize you for it.
Now all you need to do is combine that technology with this LCD Screens Double as Speakers, make it a flexible e-ink or oled display, and add a Bluetooth connection to a WiFi/ GPRS PDA-Cellphone in your pocket.
You can walk down the street with a rolled up piece of plastic that captures video, plays audio, and is connected to the net. Cram in a microphone and voice recognition software and you've got a product that kicks a tricorders ass.
Big mp3 collectors like me are waiting for the elusive 100 gig portable or always-on wireless music streamer. 2000 songs or about 130 albums is nice, but what I really want is to be able to go anywhere with every single album i own/illegally downloaded.
