I think that anybody on his right mind would say "nothing good came out of the Internet". He was probably referring to the whole copyright / movie distribution situation, which isn't doing good for their business (as they seem unable to adapt, too bad).
But given the original article is lacking context... it's no surprise someone would blow it out of proportion and post it here.

Same case if some one walks with a gun in hand near one of those schools where teenagers killed dozens of people. Are you going to say people were overreacting if they ran?
I think neither the City Hall office nor the people should be blamed in this case. The FAA is the one to be questioned about this and lay down the reasons for not disclosing the flyby in advance (which was pretty stupid, IMHO).

How much does the military get out of the GDP ? I'm guessing it's not 3% for sure. Let's invert R&D and Military on the budget plans.
