Just like the last financial bubble happened because people were playing with risk by creating AAA-rated assets basically from shit, Mr. Zuck just played with risk. He payed $1bn for who knows how many real users that Instagram has on the possibility (risk) that he might actually get some revenue from them. Something that Instagram hasn't done until now and that I seriously doubt it can. One could argue that Mr. Zuck can go to his advertisers now and say "look, advertise with us, we just got another 50m users to see your ads"... and they WILL buy it and will pay for it. So I understand why Mr. Zuck did it but I'm sad that so much money is getting wasted on stupid stuff. All cats, all the time.
It takes a while for Flash to crash on Chrome but on Firefox it's a different matter, it crashes right away.
What's wrong with putting the video on Youtube or even the (crappier) Vimeo player?
I wonder if these tweets were linked to a Twitter account with their complete real names and how the TSA is searching the Internet and keeping profiles of everyone, so they can check it later if people try to fly.
What kind of cooperation is going on here? Does it mean that, if my Twitter account doesn't have my name, that I'm "safe" from harassment?
I'm wondering how the two are related here.

I find the Mac OS X interface very unproductive and prefer either Gnome2 or Windows over it.
Having said that, it's still miles behind Gnome3 in terms of being the most unproductive.
I'd think Oracle should be running to this judge saying "no, no, you misunderstood, please let's drop this lawsuit right now".
> I think the issue is more that we should ignore US copyright law.
Fixed that for you.
Not by cursing, that's for sure.
Irrigation is a big part of today's agriculture. Rain alone wouldn't allow us to have as many crops.
Nuff said.

People are used to software bugs. Just wait and push the update as soon as possible.
Giving people $100 only makes the situation worse ("Nokia is the dumb company who has buggy phones and gives cash away, no wonder it's dying")
Now all we need is an army of nuclear drones flying over our heads.
Looks like The Consumerist's poll was successfully DDoS by the anti-gay trolls.
Nice to see Canonical finally contributing something to the Linux kernel.
Wait... Nevermind, my bad.

This has happened in Brazil (not specifically to this drug) and it works just fine.
The pharma companies that were crying out the end of the world are all here, still making a profit, everything is fine.
I really doubt $5500 is the correct price for that drug in India. Whoever decided to charge that much should go to jail.
~3m will suffice. smart pants.
If it's 640K TFLOPS, I agree.

For newer generations, if it is not in game format, they don't care.
You are living in the 90s.

Don't be so uptight about this.
