It's called a revolution. Problem is it only changes (somewhat) who has power and influence, and the newly powerful are rarely better than the old. And the 'Golden Rule' (who has the gold makes the rules) sill applies.
Those who say that something cannot be done should shut up and stay out of the way of those who are doing it.
And SpaceX, for those of you who think you can do it better, it IS rocket science.
Asus doesn't "build" computers:) Foxconn does. And also does Apple and Intel gear (AFAIK). And on the laptop market, at least some years ago, Quanta (Taiwan) had allegedly assembled 30% of all the sold laptops. You can usually spot this by checking the MAC address on the ethernet card (see http://www.coffer.com/mac_find... ).
They may not have built the entire system, but the system board has 'ASUS' written all over it.
My biggest problem with Charter? They have been bombarding me with mailers for years but when I call they don't offer service at my address. But they do offer service within 1/4 mile in any direction.
It's not a liberal / conservative thing. My observations are that anti-vaxers are more likely to be either ultra-liberal hippie types or ultra-conservative 'anything the government does is bad' types.
Indeed... I believe the count is 4 our of the last 8 Illinois Governors (dating back to the '60's) ended up in federal prison. I'm amazed they found anyone to run for the office last year - it's like a 50/50 chance if you are elected that you will end up incarcerated. And that's just counting the ones doing stuff openly enough to get caught...
No, Illinois has just implemented the term limits that everyone wants: 2 terms: 1 in office, 1 in prison.
They aren't being adopted because they try to solve problems that aren't really problems.
IPv6: not enough IP addresses. The problem is very real.
The problem with IPv6 is that alternate solutions to the IP shortage issue such as NAT are currently far less trouble and much less expensive to implement than IPv6.
Where I work we have a LOT of computers (low-mid 6 figures) behind NAT. For the most part it works pretty well.
I spoke with our network design engineer about IPv6 a few months ago and he said IPv6 isn't even on his radar at this time for the reason stated above. If he were implementing a network at a new company with no legacy technology to deal with he might go IPv6 but he doesn't see it much in established networks anytime soon.
My passwords are on a post-it note stuck to my monitor.
Let's see them crack THAT!
the ??? before 'Profit' in their business plan.
Facebook is an informational environment?
About as much as Fox News or MSNBC.
No thanks. I don't like Java in my java.
In some areas (particularly rual areas in states where they have open or concealed carry) they won't give it a second thought.
...For campaign contributions.
How many seats does Kim Kardashian or Niki Manaj have in their butts?
Didn't include Apple Store employees.
Effectively 3 parties? That's effectively 2 parties more than we have in the US.
Eventually

Guess who built my HP desktop.
Hint: it starts with 'A' and ends with 'SUS'.

One of the most popular Point of Sales systems is called 'RealPOS'. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the one referenced in the article.

Transformers has dialogue?
When Obama announced that Bin Laden hsd been killed it pre-empted Donald Trump off of TV, at least for one night. So at least some good came from it.
Why not? Isn't it like shrinkwrap licences on software where you can't review the terms until you've agreed to them?

Just do like Dr. Evil and show them a clip from "Independence Day".
If you are going to dream, dream big. Require them to open up to open their networks to competition!
If you or I do it, it's bribery. If a corporation does it, it's lobbying.
