As with all (Cr)apple products...vastly overpriced, cheaply made crap that only iDiots will buy!
Cheap? Crap? No. Apple is one of the rare companies to still care about innovation, design and durability. The Macbook I bought 4 years ago is still kicking well and doesn't show battery problems. As for overpriced, design innovation and durability all have a price. People who care about these criteria pay the price. People like you buying the cheapest available contribute to lower the quality bar ; basically you tell companies "make crap, as long as it's cheap I'll buy it".
Do we have any tangible proof of that, like a reverse engineered firmware of a tampered HD? Showing exactly to what extent a firmware actually spies on its host computer?
I really wonder if those who started that rumor don't want us to be more worried about our privacy that we need to be.
the neck of both would be cut and the major blood vessels linked with tubes. Finally, the spinal cords would be severed, with as clean a cut as possible. Joining the spinal cords, with the tightly packed nerves inside, is key. The plan involves flushing the area with polyethylene glycol, followed by several hours of injections of the same, a chemical that encourages the fat in cell membranes to mesh
That's Frankenstein. Any one really believed TFA was a true story??
When that technology will have evolved enough, it'll be able to show what you were supposed to be from your DNA, compared to what you actually are. How your body and face have changed due to your family, education, school, company etc... That technology will contribute to settle the debate "genetics vs environment".
I've been hearing for a few years, from people around, that ASUS makes really good stuff at an affordable price. Maybe it's time to re-check if Mavericks installs ok on VirtualBox.
Indeed. Unfortunately captain Cook is drifting towards MS stuff. Maybe in a couple of years, the Nadella Cook union will give birth to a unique product, iMac for Workgroups.

Currently going. You may have to wait a bit more to get the answer, though. Not sure slashdot's gonna still be around at that time.
Only size matters.
There was no video threat or claiming of responsibility...
...yet.
Oh that'd be a +1 Insightful, if I could!
... a Microsoft executive discovered something.

The reason we have ISIS is because we defeated Saddam Hussein without thinking much about what would come next.
Not true. There were people talking in front of the UN audience, warning exactly what would come next in 2003.
Including the C temp would be indeed informative ( -135 C )
An asteroid for instance?

Did you try superuser.com and the like? Or is slashdot becoming a stackexchange clone?
Ok got my answer. 12.9 billion light years.
Doesn't seem to be in any of 3 TFAs
...there is nothing seriously wrong in that OS (to be fair).

Sorry but you missed a few vars. The equation is closer to that one ( and is self-explanatory )
$700 isn't much to spend on a computer by the standards of the upper middle class, but it's still a pretty big chunk of change.
Ultrathin, latest Core M proc, 8 G memory, 256 G SSD... $700. That's sound a fair price (and it's ASUS-grade quality).

So, Apple users are really dumb?
Apple users are still under the charm and influence of Jobs. That may not last much longer. Maybe 2-3 years.
Somewhere, Steve Jobs is spinning in his grave

Would that have happened under Jobs reign?
We're talking beta, and beta gets a bad press (especially here on /.) but am I alone to think there are more and more unfixed annoying bugs in iOS?
