    As with all (Cr)apple products...vastly overpriced, cheaply made crap that only iDiots will buy!

    Cheap? Crap? No. Apple is one of the rare companies to still care about innovation, design and durability. The Macbook I bought 4 years ago is still kicking well and doesn't show battery problems. As for overpriced, design innovation and durability all have a price. People who care about these criteria pay the price. People like you buying the cheapest available contribute to lower the quality bar ; basically you tell companies "make crap, as long as it's cheap I'll buy it".

    Do we have any tangible proof of that, like a reverse engineered firmware of a tampered HD? Showing exactly to what extent a firmware actually spies on its host computer?

    I really wonder if those who started that rumor don't want us to be more worried about our privacy that we need to be.

    When that technology will have evolved enough, it'll be able to show what you were supposed to be from your DNA, compared to what you actually are. How your body and face have changed due to your family, education, school, company etc... That technology will contribute to settle the debate "genetics vs environment".

    $700 isn't much to spend on a computer by the standards of the upper middle class, but it's still a pretty big chunk of change.

    Ultrathin, latest Core M proc, 8 G memory, 256 G SSD... $700. That's sound a fair price (and it's ASUS-grade quality).

    Indeed. Unfortunately captain Cook is drifting towards MS stuff. Maybe in a couple of years, the Nadella Cook union will give birth to a unique product, iMac for Workgroups.

    We're talking beta, and beta gets a bad press (especially here on /.) but am I alone to think there are more and more unfixed annoying bugs in iOS?
