All of this is true, 100%. Maybe only the (few) people who were in the IT business from the 80's are able to understand, feel and appreciate the level of relevancy of this post. Of course recently, especially since the popularization of the Internet, Microsoft had to smooth the rough edges, and the IT 2000-newcomers - of which a lot of them know only Windows - would flag your post as FB.

Steve Jobs could play Steve Jobs (e.g. the obvious LOTR where Andy Serkis portrays Gollum thanks to CGI) and we'd see the real Jobs face at any age (and would probably cost less than Kutcher ). The question is: is it likely that having Ashton Kutcher star in the movie will generate more profit? Or, in other words, are most people interested in seeing the real (but missing) Jobs life, or the very alive Ashton Kutcher?

Footballers (soccer players) in Europe earn millions of dollars yearly, they are respected stars. Considering the extremes to where soccer leads sometimes (esp. from supporters) the judge objectivity should be double checked - crazy supporters are everywhere.

In France, that very tragic event from a week ago may be Sarkozy's lifeline during the coming presidential elections (May). Taking rough and strong measures immediately, and just a few weeks before the elections, may help him to win a second term. Internet freedom in France may not have been endangered if the elections were in two years from now.
