    Actually, the 5B is also a way to make Google pay for the taxes they didn't.

  4. New iPhones 8 are thicker and heavier than the 7 (to include inductive charging among other things), new design consists of removing ports, new features are made of animoji and face recog... Then they had to upgrade the Macbook internals, because people complained, and result is something that cannot keep up with its own engine. Have they even _seriously_ tested the thing before selling it? Like they tested Apple Maps 6 years ago ...

    Everything is relative, Einstein. Some people like 4.0 movies ... Based on my experience, under 7 is a 90% crap chance, under 6 99% chance of being a crappy movie.

    Diamonds might not be that rare, but the manual work to make them marketable is a rare competence.

    Would that be diamonds or glass or whatever, "enthusiastic" refers to how definitive and assured the conclusion is made, at depths we know almost nothing.

    So the only explanation to "sound waves seem to travel too quickly through the old, stable cores of continents" is "the presence of a lot of diamonds". A bit over enthusiastic imo.

  19. Well, there is some logic in this. A system that has been running without collisions for a long time is unlikely to suffer one soon, simple probabilities (if no other factor is known, like the exact trajectories of the system components).

    When your car stalls, acceleration from the motor drops to zero, so your velocity will drop due to rolling and other resistance. Eventually the car will stop.

    Except if you are on a descent. And Netflix is!
