Well while I fully agree with you, I think there is way more GPL code out there in closed products. Waiting for the DMCA to be lifted so we can reverse engineer it and check it.
GPL/OSS is a system with one big flaw. It all depends on trust. And while this is very good in most cases it also means that there are parts of the world where the GPL has no legal value. There will be people using that really cool function and there will be companies that will build a businessmodel out of your hard work.
But... When I see what the OSS community has done in so many great projects I'd say it's worth it.
Well like he said, there is nothing to correct. They have done this to experiment with a 'innovative' new something (didn't write what precisely) that will make use of the now available space on the right. Nothing wrong with that. Then again I still believe that everybody who can write a single line of code should be kept away from GUI's as far as is possible! Preferable by moving us to another planet where we can't do much harm.
Just move the damn buttons yourself!
I actually agree with camp that wants the buttons back in the old way, but I can't stop thinking... I have the source... I might just do that myself and place the.diff online. Problem solved. Unfortunately for all Ubuntu users, I use Debian so I'm fine.
Well, to be honest, I think the US is very pro-active and when I am absolutely honest.... I even think that the invasion of Iraq has nothing to do with 9/11 but all with the former presidents personal cashflow. Now and in the future. I'm pretty sure he will die a wealthy man but I am not sure at all about the 'bring peace' part of his speech back in those days.
Net to me the problem is, that such a comment is from an AC... I'm sure you have a real account here. Use it. I said something I knew was going to offend people, although I feel they should not be offended, but I don't use the AC option;)
But just that kind of behavior, is what is upsetting people about the US. It's true...
Wow.
As a European I must say, we have a different truth... The us reactive? I am very sorry, maybe in the US you think that, but I think the general public opinion about the US - worldwide - will think otherwise... Don't mean to offend you, just here to inform you:)
I really can't understand this way of thinking. It will probably get me modded down but I ask of you to think about this.
What are you afraid of? every time I turn on the tv I see news from the US and every time it is about being scared or about why you should be scared and every time it turns out to be a lie.
Why do you feel threatened by a person who is not born in the USA who tells you there is a flaw in your system and goes so far to even tell you all about that flaw.... I don't get it. I just don't get in, I'm sorry.
Help me out here. And what is the bad part about not having the source-code of a program that let's say, teaches math? I love open source as much as the next slashdotter but I don't see your point here. Nintendo is known for the 'it works' way of developing software. It just works and it works great. I can't come with a single from nintendo inhouse that really sucks and I see no reason to think their educational software will be any different.
Try programming a micro-controller and suddenly you'll be facing hardware limits that force you to favor small unreadable code over bigger more maintainable code. There is a solution for it though... comments! Lots of them:D
Give that girl a free Slashdot-Goldaccount!
But really nicely done. I made a tetris with one-colored leds and a arduino but this is way cooler. Love the music on the video too (in the full article)
I am sorry my friend, although you are probably right, 'probably' just isn't good enough with my alarm-clock ringing every 5.4 minutes. We need guarantees!
This is actually an interesting read sir. Thank you.

but I would be shagging like there is no-tomorrow!

Yeah but I've read a bit further that this solution would make the symmetry wrong? I have no way of testing it.
They want to create room on the right so in a future version they can experiment with 'innovative' options where that space has become available.

As a gamer and chessplayer I do see a big difference between fucking and murdering whores and just causing havoc(GTA) and the game of chess.

Hehe thanks mate, I already noticed it, after I submitted it. But you're ;) right!
Your a lawyer.... go sue 'em boy!
Does this mean I can use my father-in-law as a UPS?
Forgot a couple words, sorry: I can't come up with a single game...

So... and where can I get such a breakfast?
Hmmz, I was hoping my post was without any judgement about what is 'better' and more '133t' coding. Sorry you think otherwise :(

Come on, where is the tag? You all know this one deserves it.
I don't know if she has implemented it, but you could easily by applying different colors to different objects.
