As I can see in my every day life, there are two people users and specialists. For example, I want to be a Computer Security Consultant. I have tyo know many different OSs as well have hand on experance. I have to know how the basic protocols work and other ideas like encryption, file permission,etc... The user like many of my friends have the knowledge to work a computer, but don't have the knowlegde to partition or install basic software. It is funny, just resently one user(a friend) ask me if I want to help make a RPG as graphical as FF7 or FF8. Him knowing nothen about programming or computer graphics. And make it within a year... not possible i told him. I still doesn't understand. In fact I could teach him C/C++ in about the time i will be a Nucluar Physist. Eveyone haves there own area and the computer market are not only for Admins and consultants it is for those programmers,gammers,artists, web developers,etc....
keep those concepts in mind, we need computers in school to help kids find there major... maybe they have a natural ability to program or computer art... drafting? everyone has there abilities and that is finial we my not know what it is but we will eventually find it. like myself
My father belonged to a union at one time. It is a pain to pay in the NOW, but in the future the union protects jobs. If not a new person can take you job making severely less then they pay you and they lay you off because it is cheaper to higher him then keep you. see my logic? If you work at a company for 10 or more years this is useful...because you depend on that job!!!!!!
Well we can look at all distros now that are aimed for to opposing forces Client and server.
For example SuSE has 6cds like mandrake most unexperanced users will do a install and take about a gig or two.. of applications that they don't need as a User same thing with the server end. I am right know experimenting a lot of distros there and as I see it there are the big four: Red Hat, Slackware, Debian, and SuSE.
I can name some fualts and pros for each!
Debian: Is a nice devolpment platform and is known to be very stable and complient to most hardware needs.
Red Hat: Nice install has good features that others have add to this fuctionality, for example , mandrake.
Slackware: Is all around nice but is known to be the hardest to set up and more unix like then any other disto.... [my fav. next to debian]
SuSE: Has done a lot as far as a complete archive of applications and the install is nice also they have there own thing like slack.. and are not a partial clone to any Red Hat or Debian distro.
As I see SuSE has done the best with server and clients they have a distro for desktop users and server users now.. this is a very good idea and maybe others will take a hint!
I saw x-men the second day it came out since It was sold out the first day. I liked the movie as far as action movies go... the history with magneto was nice also the casting for Prof. X and MagnetoWoverine was good casting also. Now as i remember rogue was not too young... since she was in the x-men and not a student of prof. X at this time. Also iceman's camo with rogue he was in the original x-men? some history did not make much sense... but i hope they explain it for the next x-men movie other then not keeping to story of the comics in it.
