Yeah, I keep getting yelled at for using standard fixed-length arrays instead of their apvectors, because "what if you need more space?!". Gee, ALL the resources in a computer are finite, maybe I'll use a reasonable limit for the size?
As if I'm too stupid to do my own bounds checking when reading/writing elements...
That's exactly the state of my school. QBasic is a horrible introductory language. Our year is going at a snails pace; spending days on each new topic, wasting time with our book's non-explanitory, redundant exercises.
I'm taking the AP class this year, and its pace is extremely slow. We learn a new method for something, and then spend a week on dumb Hello World implementations of it. From what I hear, you could get an A on the test by knowing basic structure and some specific syntax (Damn you AP libraries!).
I'm currently taking the C++ version and the textbook we're using really pushes OO design. I don't really see the need to switch to Java, as this would just put more of a burdon on the teachers to change their curriculums.
There should also be only one automobile manufacturer. All those different brands are confusing!
Let's have just one company in EVERY industry, it would make life so much simpler!
Oh well, I guess I'll get back to my wonderful soma vacation.
HP actually already tried charging ($10 or somesuch) for the privilage of using the latest-and-greatest DeskJet drivers a while ago, not sure if they still are though.
Assuming you have an origional (unlocked) P2 (as I do), you could get a decent heatsink, change some mobo jumpers and you could be running at 300MHz in a few minutes...
My post was extremely sarcastic.
I'm just saying that encryption shouldn't be synonamis (sp?) with wrongdoing.
People use those security envelopes (the ones that obscure text with random paint splotches inside) because they want to have a reasonable guarantee that people can't casually read their mail.
I don't like sending my private conversations plaintext over the net that anyone with the intent and resonable skill can intercept and read, just as I don't send my mail as a stamp on the back of my letter.
There are NO routine launches or EVA's.
Each one is extremely dangerous and requires thousands of hours of preperation and rehersal. At any moment there are hundreds of thousands of subsystems that could fail and, even with triple redundancy, cause a fatal catastrophe.
Each one of those photos gives a great deal of information on things of which we know VERY little.

An audio/video recording/broadcasting system will be promptly installed in every room of your house as well because We know you have nothing to hide. Those other cars that don't do this?
Oh, they're either lying or being run by a bunch of wierd people.

What! I can't do anything without my precious AP libraries! :(
Does this mean I've been brainwashed?
