    This would cause problems with some people I know that use calculators to multiply and divide by 10..

    By owning a DVD you can theoretically go to jail, because you can be ordered to reveal the key that encrypts the data...

    That puts most people between a rock and a hard place, because then they would have to use hacking tools (DeCSS) to get the key...

    The problem is not that they had to fork the linux kernel, but rather that they are forced to make do with whatever Microsoft allows them to do to make their servers secure.....

    Forking the kernel can be a good thing, and it shows how flexible linux can be...

    In the UK you have the right to demand a copy of any surveillance tape made of you.

    I.e. if you see that you are being recorded in a department store, you are within your rights to demand a copy of that tape!

    Obvious uses for this would be to get videos of youself getting it on with a hot chick at a christmas party...

    I object to the insane level of tax that goes on our litre of petrol in the UK.

    You can bet, though that the minute you see popular cars running off domestic mains power there will be some napster style lawsuits against the power companies by the petrol companies....

    Either that or the UK govt will start taxing electricity at an insane amount.

    To set up a co-lo bonx somewhere reasonable, and use a VPN to connect to it.

    On the co-lo box you can then use IP forwarding and masquerading to view any sites you want.

    The upside is that it is encrypted, when it passes through the aussie censors :-)

    The only downside is that it can run to about £100 a month in hosting charges + initial cost of the machine, having said that though, you should be able to split the cost with some mates.

    If enough people are interested, I might set up one of these for my poor Aussie relations.
