    someone here sugested that you could mabey program the unit to record certin programs if they ever came on, if these units had some kind of removable storage, it would be great for collecting episodes of your favorite series, i know a lot of people out there would like every episode of startrek recorded and burned to cd or some other removable media when ever it came on

    how bout backup tapes?

    4gb raw capacity should be enough to record a movie

    the first thing i did to test this was to log into slashdot with ie (i dont use ie, but its there) and check out my /. cookie, and i noticed that the user number is stored in plaintext (look harder its there) so i theory one could change it and troll with someones karma!

    havent tried this though

    the thing is with the population density of aus is that there is high density in metro areas and extremy low density in other areas, i think as high as 1 person to 100sq km!!

    what i want, is for foods to have a special barcode that contains a code that has cooking instructions, so that when you scan the code it knows how to cook it, as long as you dont scan the regular barcode :P

    you can already get dashmounted dvd players in australia, i saw one at the car stereo shop while buying a cd player, i think the dvd holds 6 disks and goes in your boot, i dident get to see it, only the screen

    I thought that the dotpitch was the size of a pixel at the highest resolution from the main page... Digital for home systems is great, but will 1280x1024 be good enough for theatres? That's about 10mm dot pitch, folks...
