I am using Slackware... And "techies" have certainly NOT gone away from Slackware. In fact, Slackware has been the most problem-free distro I have ever used (out of Redhat, SuSE, Debian, Mandrake, Caldera, TurboLinux, IcePack).
"USB 2.0 will extend the speed of the peripheral to PC connection from 12 Mbps on USB 1.1 to up to 480 Mbps on USB 2.0 - or 40 times overexisting capabilities."
Sometimes waiting is a good thing. Take NTSC and PAL. Having just returned from Europe, I can easily tell that PAL is far superior to NTSC, but it was adopted after NTSC was here in the states.
But, yes, we are taking a bit too long to get a digital standard for cell phones here. What would be nice is if the US adopted GSM, so you could go back and forth over the pond with the same phone.
Oh well...

Crashed on Slackware 7.0, but... I checked/usr/local/mozilla (where I told it to install) and it was there with all the trimmings.
Just check your destination directory, it is quite possible it's in there even with the seg. fault.
How does this thing organize MP3's? In other words, do you have to dump all the MP3's in the root directory or can you organize them in folders? Is there a playlist editor (can I choose one directory to play)? Or do I just stick the CD in and it starts randomly playing an MP3 without my control? All that would seem hard to do on a tiny little display. --Nicholas

Go away.
So, has anyone mounted one of these in Linux yet?
/dev/keychain /key
/dev/keychain has too much lint.
# mount
mount:
# _
o 3.5 hrs (28.2Mbps, HD mode)
o 7 hrs (14.1Mbps, STD mode)
o 14~49 hrs (7~2Mbps, LP mode)

And to whose credit do we owe this great lump of knowledge, Mr. AC?
He meant screenshots.
I don't understand your spacing.
Microsoft doesn't own HTML either.

No! I'll take a tar over an RPM anyday of the week! .tgz's.
The only binaries I install are Slackware

Remember when you could lease a (touch-tone) phone from AT&T for a few dollars a month?
Now, after many years, all these old ladies have paid hundreds for a $10 phone.
Sad...

I would like seperate 15-inch touchscreens for each of my icons.
You can't get it in Olympia, WA.
Hear hear!
Of course if AT&T, Time Warner, @Home, AOL come along, they'll cap it at 2.5mbit!
:-)
How fun!
Personally, I wouldn't be playing Quake III while a tornado is ripping through my neighboors' yard.
;-)
I would be playing Unreal Tournament.

If not, it might be worth considering, as it looks pretty spiffy.
Is there any way to get this to run under Linux? Wine perhaps?
"USB 2.0 will extend the speed of the peripheral to PC connection from 12 Mbps on USB 1.1 to up to 480 Mbps on USB 2.0 - or 40 times overexisting capabilities."
Although 320X would be nice. :-)

What about leaking thousands of gallons of nitrogen into the ground or water? How much $$ per gallon or liter?

I'll bet their database of pr0n websites is more secure...
Good grief!
The are rather expensive, at about $800 - $2100 each! Cool though...

Let's say that we want to find a street corner is Seattle, do we have to wait an extra two minutes while it downloads an animated banner at 9600 bps?
--Nicholas
I sure hope you were being sarcastic with that last line....
