Chrome for Linux (no idea about OSX, I don't use it) has been release quality for a long, long time now. I'm quite surprised that only now it's in Beta.
Just because something is already done doesn't make it acceptable. Political corruption is the norm, but you don't see people not affected by it supporting it.
There are more than 3 choices. There's the Green party, the Marijuana Party, the Libertarian party, all of which would be better than Harper. They don't stand a chance of winning right now but if you vote for them you could help fix that!
So copyright is useless without being enforced everywhere? Given that (in my opinion) a unified world legal system is the worst kind of tyranny imaginable (think corporate monopolies, but 100 times worse), I guess no copyright (or at least copyright only regulating commercial activities) is the only way to go then.
I disagree with requiring people to keep guns in their homes. I am fairly pro-gun, but people should have the freedom to decide what to keep and what not to keep in their own homes.
Men have done 95-99% of the inventing for the same reason that men have done 95-99% of warfare - it's the social structure that pigeonholed women into doing the unimportant stuff. If you're going to claim that men are inherently smarter you need a controlled trial.
I think you'll find that the majority of the people here think the king IS evil. I hear few good things about Bush (and even then, they tend to be along the lines of "never attribute to malice what can be explained by incompetence") and few good things about even Obama once he got into power.
I disagree that defined gender roles are a good idea. Ignoring the concept of sexual discrimination entirely, they by definition reduce every single person's career choice by 50%.
Also, notice how the barbarians tend to starve and die of disease a lot, largely due to their overbreeding?
It's a matter of pragmatism there - if we physically send in soldiers to arrest Taliban in their camps, 5-20 of them might die in each attempt (dying is even worse than having your right to due process taken away) and some Taliban might escape. This is acceptable just like shooting a murderer who's about to kill people is acceptable. Here, they are in our custody and there is no excuse not to give them the rights they deserve as human beings.
I do not support dropping missiles on Middle Eastern cities, and I think the people who orchestrate those actions are, morally at least, just as much in the wrong as the terrorists who took down our towers.

What about Canada?
That's interesting. I feed the gaming dice to my cat, then feed it ipecac and let the cat throw the dice!
Private as in "not affiliated with the government (ie. Blizzard)", not as in privacy.
I, however, am not subject to the USAPATRIOT act.
Why? If people want to reduce a $100 conference to a crowded, inconvenient room for surfing facebook, why not let them hurt themselves?

It's like Microsoft and software patents: they'll find a way to bullshit their way through with their self-contradictory needs.
VSS Enterprise? Is that the USS Enterprise for Romans?
What do you have against Utility Helicopters?
That's completely fal'se.

Important != Useful. Hitler's actions were very important to world history in the 20th century. Importance is a magnitude, not a direction.

Salt tastes good? Your tastes must differ completely from mine. I think it's a developed thing from many years of not eating salt with everything.
When talking about computers I'm a respected person of knowledge but when we're talking about hair styles I'm pretty useless.
I don't know. Four of each, or four combined?
Mod me up (I prefer "informative") but you know it's true
Non-citizens have, in a criminal court, the same rights as citizens. Being a citizen doesn't actually do that much these days.
