    Microsoft, Apple, ... are not the enemies they are competitors. There is a difference between the two. Competitors you can work together for a common goal enemies you can't.

    Since Linux's goal is world wide domination, and Microsoft's goal is word wide domination, I don't
    see how they can work together. I think by your definition Microsoft IS the enemy.

    I have an idea. Change the laws. Allow file sharing! Maybe this over the top case will get people to think about it. It's obvious the
    millions of people want to download this music.. Change the Laws. Maybe have a pre-release sale. i.e. you have to have 10,000 paid
    sales before we release. Or make money from live performances!!

    Yea,
    I still remember the day I came into the computer room finding my two compatriots at the end of two
    hours of single stepping thru our assembly code on the front panel. Traced the bug to my code. The
    look in there eyes still sends chills.

    on a PS3 with video? I thought it was interesting. I heard the rumor of a 10k Ps3 also, but looks like about $1200. for
    2nd day units is what you might expect. Slashers should chill out.

    One could hope that universal free wireless access would evolve. In the mean time there will be
    some free, some pay and some offered in ignorance. You could easily mistake one for the other.
    You should not be subject to jail time for confusion.

    The point I was trying to make is that Nuclear power plants produces highly toxic waste, just because it's not immediately released
    into the atmosphere doesn't mean it's not produced. And don't forget, if it IS released any time in the next 10,000 years it will
    be a problem.

    Let's just kick this "clean" nuclear energy out the window. Nuclear plants produce some of the most toxic substances
    known to man. (Plutonium comes to mind). And the US practice of keeping spent fuel in swimming pools next
    to the plants doesn't seem like that great of a plan either.

    Yea,
    C++ the kitchen sink language, designed for backward compatibility with C. Throw in the STL, because it
    doesn't even have a "String" type, couldn't even get static initializers right, include mulitiudes of #include files
    and #ifdef preprocessor commands and you are lucky to even find half the code, or know if it's been compiled into your
    program if you do. Got it compiled, but now can't find the link libraries. Favorite error message "Seg Fault". I love C++

    I have to agree. We work employee's till the day they leave. Why waste 2 weeks pay? Also, if it short notice
    we need to work with them to transfer there responsibilities to others.

    This is close to what I want. I'd like a unit that sets up a sound device (on windowns) and streams the audio to a wired unit plugged into
    my amp. That way I could use any music program (music match) not just itunes. Any suggestions?

    I have Hitichi 57 in. HDTV and with Comcast digital, it is ver much "ready for prime time" . Discovery HD, INHD, INHD2 , HBOHD all look wonderful. Upconverted Digital channels look great also. It's painful to drop in analog.

    Twenty years from now, people will be saying "What's a 'Microsoft'?" It is inevitable that Linux will become the standard desktop the world over; it will just take time.
