I wonder if we put Nano- in front of "hybrid"... nanohybrid... or nuclear... nanonuclear

  2. Modern Art on MacAddict Tracks Down eBay Scam Artist · · Score: 1

Why is he an artist? Did he express himself in a new way?

And if you catch an artist whose art is generally annoying to me, i would probably want to hit him with a bat as well.

  3. Res v. Business? on Report: Broadband Too Expensive For Many · · Score: -1, Redundant

Price is a compelling issue, but for most people, checking their email is a task best suited for dial-up.

Where DSL comes in handy is for small businesses who do not want to incur the cost of a pricy ISDN or fractional T1.

  4. Re:Ya know.. on Electronic Voting's Fundamental Flaws · · Score: 2, Funny

Forty-nine other states may get it wrong, but florida has the other 49 states' elderly voting there.

Think about it. It's November. It's cold in New York... Let's go to Florida. So they claim residency and vote while they're on furlough.

  7. Quiet time for Microsoft. on Embracing Digital Photography · · Score: 1

"Microsoft rejects any suggestion that it misbehaved." So, the tip of the day is really trying to get me to buy microsoft stock? it seems that although you can add new cameras/companies, you must have an MCSE and/or be a professional digital technician to do it.

  8. Articulate Email on The Social Web · · Score: 1

As far as my online social group goes, the one thing that has kept me in contact with those who would not have been a part of my social group in real life is the use of email. Obviously, e-mail seems to be the online culture'se equivelant of written communication, just as instant messaging and chat is the equivelant of conversation. However, one conclusion that I am able to ascertain is how instead of asking for a person's mailing address, i would prefer their email address due to convenience and economics. But it alway surprises me when I get an actual letter. But then I email them back.

  9. PCMCIA on CD-R In A Digital Camera: The Ueber-Mavica? · · Score: 1

Something cool would be to have a PCMCIA port on the camera instead of a floppy drive. iOmega's click disk currently holds 40 megs, and there are PCMCIA hard drives that hold much much more. Besides, you can use them over and over again, and they're available now.

  11. The Grammar Allies on Adaptive Optics May Enable Super-Human Vision · · Score: 1

It seems that whenever Grammar Nazi posts something, no matter how useful, it seems that the folks reading the response only read the tag line "Keeping /. free of grammatical errors for 3 years." Not to mention the fact that there are at least two replies to his reply about the oxymoron. C'mon, read the story for what it is.

  12. To Mars in 3 months? How long to the moon? on Plasma Propulsion Could Cut Time To Mars in Half · · Score: 1

I know that i would like to see the moon someday. If this plasma deal cuts the trip to Saturn down, I can see us getting everything done faster. All in all, it's good to know that the government is doing something to help business.
