  1. POWER and PowerPC? on A Brief History of Chip Hype and Flops · · Score: 5, Insightful

Why is that even in there? It "only" powers all three current games consoles and IBMs Power Systems server lines (i and p).

If that's a failure, I hope IBM has many more failures in the future.

  2. Yes, I do on Do You Get a UNIX Workstation at Work? · · Score: 1

i work for IBM (not of course a spokesperson for said company) and if I have business justification for getting exotic hardware i get exotic hardware.

I have Sun, SGI, Digital (an old Alpha box) and I have retired my PA-RISC at this point. As long as I can justify it I have never had a problem with it.

If you have to stay on windows (can't justify your unix box) then I'll sing with the rest of the choir; Exceed does the job.

Nintendo still sells the NES games repackaged for the GBA/GBA SP today and includes the games as extras in GameCube games such as Animal Crossing. Looks to me like not only is there public interest in these old gems, Nintendo seems to be pretty interested in them as well.

And yes, GBA/GBA SP is smaller than this "key innovation".
