I spent some time with Cloud9 and although it was generally usable, it was just unresponsive enough as to be annoying. Also, I prefer a standalone machine so if I don't have any wifi access, I can still work. Recent plane trips come to mind as an example.
I am also annoyed by this most of the time, but isn't the solution easy: include links to BOTH. I can read "Bob's" blog if I want, or I can skip and go directly to the Nature article. If both aren't included, then reject it.

No! For security reasons, and some significant processing issues as well, the only supported Browser is Internet Explorer Release 6 or later."
I suspect the processing issues are the real reasons and they are trying to scare people into not using Firefox so they don't get the phone calls about their site not working.
Google's is on the other side of the state, near Council Bluffs. Microsoft's is in the central part of the state in West Des Moines. Neither is close to the Mississippi, however, either could be close enough to a river to be affected when we get the next 1000 year flood.
