  1. wow. Just wow. on The Next Keurig Will Make Your Coffee With a Dash of "DRM" · · Score: 2

Jesus. My coffee needs neither "interactive reability" nor "game-changing functionality." All the interactive readability I need is, I pour clear water in, and it comes out dark, dark brown. My coffee pot's functionality is not a game that needs to be changed; I shovel some ground beans in, and press a button. My coffee needs to force my sleeping ass awake for the drive to work, not save the world, the whales, or the children. As if I needed another, this is one more reason why a Keurig will never clutter my countertop.

  2. Re:the creative team is middle of the road on King's Dark Tower Series To Be Adapted For Film, TV · · Score: 2, Insightful

I'd rather Dark Tower not get "Burtoned". The biggest problem with a Tim Burton film is that if you've ever seen 5 minutes of one, you can immediately identify any other movie he does in an equal amount of time. I'm not saying they're bad (except Nine), I'm just saying that his penchant for the surreal is 1-dimensional. Kubrick, Scorsese or Lynch would be interesting though.

This, plus I don't think Johnny Depp would make a good gunslinger.

The 70's weren't good to the Shat. That and Star Trek V. The only reason there were so many horses in that movie is because he liked them.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's Generations you're thinking of, as someone else pointed out. Still, I think Star Trek V would have been a much better movie if there were more horses and less huge floating head aliens hiding in the center of the galaxy pretending to be gods. At least "Star Trek V: Kirk rides horses and maybe punches a couple Klingons" wouldn't have made me want to kill myself.

V had horses too, they landed their shuttle a good distance from the settlement and rode horses in (spock does a neck pinch on one of them).
