It's been awhile.... but the mentioned "Prick" 117 has anti spoof anti jam capabilities (SINCGARS and HAVEQUICK), Basically frequency hoppers (amongst other shenanigans).
While possible to jam, it isn't easy. Voice comm still gets through along with heavily error corrected (and slow!) data streams.
I remember arriving in Iraq, stepping off the back of a C-130, looking around, and not one of the people who said "we are going to kick Saddam's ass" were present.
It was fresh at one point, but for me the charm wore off when I realized it was essentially a much better version of software the IC and military uses to create a pattern of life for high value objectives, so I quit last year. Not that I think my profile is gone, mind you.
For the somnambulant masses, it has simply gotten boring. A chore. How many times at parties do I hear people say "why didn't you reply to this PM", "check Facebook to find such and such directions to a party," "oh god I am so behind on Facebook", ect.
How one can fall behind with respect to Facebook remains a mystery to me, but apparently it can happen.
Well... I wrote the complete embedded software package for a linux based airborne LIDAR on a laptop connected to the device with a serial cable (plugged into a USB to serial converter).
I'd say that is real work.
screen/dev/ttyUSB0 115200 and I was off and running.
In addition to people causing fires when using a generator to backfeed their home, I have read that this can harm electrical workers who are trying to fix the wires.
I know that the uproar is all about this waste (and it is) being paid for by JQ's taxes...but JQ pays for the waste in industry through higher prices.
I know goods and services are voluntary, taxes are not, all that... but seriously, I am looking for the human enterprise that is efficient (or even equitable) and I am not coming up with much.
I am insanely productive between the hours of 8AM and 4PM when I work from home. The wife is at work, kids at school, house is silent, and I work like a beast.
I make sure to answer email immediately, make sure everyone has my cell phone and Skype info, and am extra responsive. The payback is that I get to avoid a hellish DC commute for a day and save about $8 in gas.
It annoys me that some lazy bums are going to ruin it for all of us.
I fail to see how wardrobe enters into this (I throw on a T shirt and jeans, BTW).
Well, if you think about it "Netflix" is more apropos for a streaming service as opposed to a mail order business that happens to be conducted over the web.
"Diskflix" would have been much better tho. Quikster?
Many crytpo schemes are provably secure.
However the implementation itself could be flawed, providing a side channel that can be exploited.
Yes, well, what if they can't find the lock?
"Secret" is simply one level of classification information in the United States which are "Confidential" "Secret" "Top Secret".
While rolling to center will work on a cement floor, I'd like to see that trick done on a hillside in the weeds and trees.
Making sure you trash the platters with the hammer.
Dispose of in a big bucket filled with salt water.
I challenge anyone to recover the data after this. While it might be theoretically possible, I doubt it can be done practically.
Problematic word, that.

Haha.

Hahaha the 80387! You weren't a man until you had one....
Jumpers, manually setting interrupts, and who can ever forget config.sys?
Not to mention cases with razor sharp interior edges, and enclosures/mount points that make today's military grade ruggedized system look like toys.

Isn't back feeding the grid dangerous?

I rarely call people on my calculator.
that the government is being compared against.
It certainly isn't private enterprise.

If it is part of the IRS regulations, it isn't cheating.
Ridiculous liberals who think otherwise are beyond help.
Stop it with this thing known as logic.
What is it like to have seen so utterly owned in a political discussion?
Actually, I am a registered Democrat, if you must know, and I have never attended a so called Tea Party rally or read any of their literature.
We are discussing Federal taxes.
I've paid taxes. Whereas most of the poor have not.
Next.
..have the fruits of your labor taken away from you.
OK then.
Any question as to why the US is going down the toilet?
