It's not legendary because people have applied that status to it, it's legendary because of its success it's had in the market. I don't think anyone has ever claimed that the Halo games are a technical marvel, but as far as I'm concerned, Bungie's work with multiplayer and matchmaking is unparalleled on a console. The overall experience is fluid and the evolution from Halo CE to Reach has adapted very well to the rapidly-changing gaming world.
IMHO, the best Halo experience is with all the media - games/books/graphic novels/movies. A couple of the novels are pretty pedestrian and are essentially recaps of Halo CE and Halo 2, but The Fall of Reach and some of the other supporting canon is great. I really hope someone can get fully behind a movie and that Nylund is the screenwriter, or at least the main consultant.
I'm not sure exactly how "wide" it is, but mine is currently showing the last 22 apps used. You swipe through the tray, it doesn't only hold 4. So no, the complaint isn't bogus, but multitasking is definitely not intuitive.
I would also add that VHDL/Verilog are *not* programming languages, in the sense that you are creating programs to compile and run on a system. They are Hardware Description Languages that you use to describe a functional piece of hardware. Thinking about HDL as a programming language will only get you crossed up, especially if you are new to the hardware design world.
Forget about the unused IPs, just start taking poorly-used ones back. Celeb blogs could be the first to go.
