Fallout 3 is fantastic. much better than fallout 1 and 2
Honestly, Fallout 1 & 2 are completely different games than Fallout 3, they are not even the same genre, which leads to the weird effect TFA says is undesirable. Most people I know (myself included) who played 1 & 2 when it was new like them better. The problem is when you attract people from previous games and then change what made it good (for them), which is this case was pretty much everything. All three of them are good games - but those who came from the first two have the transition from turn-based, overhead tactics to more of a first person action-rpgish thing with a turn-based homage thrown in. Since the time gap is so huge it is less of an issue since theres no recent memory of 1 & 2.
Personally I was really annoyed that Fallout 3 was basically 'oblivion with guns' but I think they did a better job with it in New Vegas (not pretending your not a shooter and making the aim button actually aim improved the game a LOT for me).
The swarm of ground robots is a bit of a reach goal. Current applications of this include showing manpower and equipment (and current robotic resources, like UAVs). The idea being, issued orders to a person or vehicle's representation on the map will send orders to a communication device they posses. The map would also serve to display data that currently is compiled (slowly) onto paper maps. This way, the interface becomes useful for combining data and asset display that also allows orders to be issued to those assets.

Both occurrences were running stock (2.0 and 2.1) but I am running cyanogen now. Has not done it again since installing cyanogen, but it hasn't been long enough for that to mean anything based on the infrequency of this problem.
Speaking for myself, I find them a good distraction during mandatory classes with professors I have already discovered can't teach whatsoever and I am better off reading the book (and sometimes I do that instead of use a laptop). For those who can though, I never do.
At least at my uni you can usually tell how respected the professor is by how many laptops/iPhones/random gadgets are being used in-class.

Um, no. GP said nothing of the sort. GP in fact said nothing about the severity of the crime. If you want to make a real comparison, ask yourself if hiring someone to murder is illegal, as murder is illegal.

Now, they may *possibly* be asking people to break and NDA, but that would be a civil matter, not a criminal one, and therefore it wouldn't be illegal.

On topic, to me this seems a bit grey. Obtaining information about Apple's tablet is not illegal in and of itself - There are certainly ways to obtain the information that are illegal, but it is not clear that there are no ways to do so legally.
Actually, the last time I installed chrome on a fresh system it asked me if I wanted to change the default search provider to anything else (gave me a list). The default search at the time was Bing! due to the fresh windows install...
I don't understand what drives people so crazy about the ending of Mostly Harmless. Even Adams said he didn't like the bleak ending. Am I alone in thinking this was the best ending of a book I have ever read?
Sure it's bleak. I don't care. Nearly every other novel I've read that I enjoyed the ending always has seemed abrupt. I get attached to the characters and now the story just 'ends'. Mostly Harmless fixed that. Their dead. The Earth is gone. All of them. There are no 'what now?' questions left. The end of Mostly Harmless had closure - somthing I have failed to find in any story since.

The point is the game's source is open, but the binaries are not free. This makes it OSS not FOSS.
GPL (V2) only requires (ok, so this is a major simplification) that the work be OS, but has no baring on the level of 'free' the binaries have, if any at all.
Of course, as others have mentioned, an iPhone developer could download the source and make a FOSS version.
This is the issue. The ballot box is idiotic and does not address anything anti-competitive (Really? you must include your competitors products with yours? How about the EU makes it illegal to not offer pre-installed after market parts for new car purchases instead of the manufactorer's version?) The real anti-competitive behavior here was punishing pre-installers for including non-IE browsers, thats what should be prevented, not Microsoft only including its OS with its browser.
There is no difference between having a cell phone conversation while driving and having a conversation with the guy/gal in the seat next to you, unless you somehow drop the handset...

Everyone in the space program that got us to the moon knew the risks and accepted them. By your logic drunk driving should be legal because its a known risk on the roadway. I'm sure that logic will be comforting if one day you "break an egg" (or are broken yourself) because you were distracted responding to an email. This isn't about your right to do whatever the hell you want, its about the right for some degree of safety on a public transit network.

I'm not sure it's HTC. I have had a Motorola droid for ~8 months now and have twice experienced this exact problem.
