Yeah, sure, because a Yes/No guarantees the user has a) read the message, b) understood what this cookie stuff was, c) consciously clicked the "right" button.
Real world situation: "It asked me something." "What did ask what?" "Dunno, I just clicked OK."
Come on. 80% of the malware in the world is installed exactly after "gathering explicit consent from Web users".
What about putting the PC in the living room, jack it to the TV if its screen is larger than the PC's, and plug more than one controller? There are infrared peripherals for PCs, there are HDMI/SVGA/S-Video/Whatevs sockets, there's everything.
Not really. I have nothing against gay clothing, and by the way: Get the latest women's high fashion trends, beauty tips,... (www.flare.com) First google result for "flare". (The lack of gay clothing kind of disappoints me.)
Besides, even if I found it irritating, I wouldn't be scolding you for using the term "flare". And I still find the trademark/brading craze meaningless.
On the other hand, "Apple" implies a fruit of the apple tree (Malus domestica L.), generally used for the purpose of nourishment.
Ok, trolling, I just couldn't resist. And I see your point.
However it always surprises me when people (Apple, Microsoft, you name it) waste time in scolding each other on such trivialities. (To anybody who is going to say trademarks are not trivialities as lots of money are involved etc... I am aware of all that. I just find it all meaningless.)
Besides the add-ons you already run, you might want to change host and agent data (and some other information) directly in about:config. Not a solution for the average Joe, but maybe worth it. And maybe somebody will write an add-on that will allow to change those data in a more user-friendly fashion.
No, I'm saying stop bragging in writing, especially when you brag about something illegal and/or unethical, and about "taking down a group of hackers"-- especially as those hackers might be better than you (and it looks like it was definitely so.)
I was just trying to say that HBGary (or the anthrax's holder, or any entity to which this could apply) could as well do both. Not that doing the latter would be ethical. The world is full of bad guys you know.
I'd say that no war has ever been fought in my house, but I hardly deserve a Nobel prize. By the way, the EU has mostly been successful in causing wars to be fought outside Europe... provided we count the Western Balkans / former Yugoslavia as "outside Europe" along with Georgia and the Caucasus. And Transnistria. And Kosovo.
At this point I'd propose a nomination for the Medicine Nobel: water. (Hey, it keeps people alive all the time.)
On the other hand among the nominees you have the EU. The Nobel Committee must be just trolling.
Oh, I see the point now. Sorry. And I thought I was being cruel to "the web users"... ;)

Two lines above that.
Food in pill forms exists. I don't know if it's patented. But I'd say it is.
SVGA? Are you kidding? It's 2011.
My TV is not.

I don't know why but that reminded me of this quote:
Maybe because I saw it on qdb and now it gets back to my mind every time I hear about wikipedia.
Am I missing something or is this really as stupid as it sounds?
I'm afraid it really is this stupid.
Wikipedia has become more of a bureaucracy than an "open" encyclopedia. [citation needed]
You are an idiot.
Except people who suffer from USI.

..and what part of "I am aware of all that" was not clear?

So you're saying stop writing?

I was about to reply your 2), with a difference: your version of "ethically" is the same as the hackers you went against's version.
The two are not mutually exclusive though.
3) don't write things that could later be used against you
An endless list of no-no's for development. And possibly money.

Successful partnership between Microsoft and PHP developers. What could possibly go wrong?

We should punish murderers for the benefit of society, not the individual murderer.
