Religion, protecting "children" and the public opinion of the day the laws were enacted. I know 17 year olds more mature than 19 year olds. To make my point though, I used an 8 year old. At any rate, it would seem many pedophiles prefer the younger the better.

In that case something needs to be done. I don't want a pedophile being able to obtain pedophilia because it means real children got hurt in the process of making it. When law enforcement can no longer tell the difference and must free a pedophile because of that, then I'll be very concerned.

Microsoft is seeking to diffuse fears of a consumer backlash by pointing out that since Windows 07 the OS is so stable that it only crashes once every two days. Early tests have shown Windows 2010 only crashes every five days. Because the vast majority of computer users leave their machines on continuously, it is not expected that needing to use the DVD every five days will bother consumers.

Microsoft concluded the press conference by noting Windows 2010 will be its first OS to utilize the removable media copy protection implemented in 2001.

By the end the characters are reduced to bit players as the grand sweeping camera shots and locales take over. The plot becomes predictable. Only near the end of the movie did I involuntarily disconnect from how into the flick I had been. As for the ending itself, I wish she hadn't jumped. While the flying was simply part of the movie's universe and laws of physics, making a wish and jumping based on faith, was not. A realistic ending, or at least one not implying she might have lived, would have been better. Oh, and what was the love between the younger woman and the rogue based on? How many parents want to spend an hour helping 12 year old Bobby get Diablo II working on the PC when the console never has problems? Also, if Bobby is using the computer, no one else can, so the parents can't check e-mail or surf the web. The average American kid spends 49 minutes playing video games a day. That means some spend 30, and others 70. Just like many houses have two TV's, it makes sense to have a PC and a console to keep the kids happy. It's cheaper than upgrading the computer every 4 years, which costs $1000 or more for the overhaul. Replacing the console every 5 years is only $300, perhaps $400.

A properly adjusted mini-desk in front of you would probably help though. Now the screen and text problem is solved. What's the biggest headache of getting software to work on PC's? The fact that everyone has differnt systems. In a console the systems are the same. If Microsoft makes Word 2007 and Excell 2007 for the XBox2, everyone has the same hardware so installs are automatic and don't need user input, won't crash, and the application will start up as soon as the DVD is in the drive and the XBox2 is turned on.

The best companies out there like Blizzard, Westwood, Konami, Capcom, Square, Rare, make quality games that are planned to be fun from the start.
