68 laptops? That's kind of baffling. I can understand having older equipment, it costs a ton of money just to lift a few pounds into orbit. But why so many? and wouldn't you think NASA would have contracted out for customer laptops that weighed less? You'd think companys would have given them away for free just to boast their equipment was used in space.
Isn't this just an ad? Seriously, this isn't even slightly innovative. How may MP3 players come with a set of controls on the cord? How is this any better?
These large media companies better learn quick that they are not going to save their industry by making it harder to access their media.
As it is now, to get media I have to buy equipment, have it installed, get the dish pointed correctly... it cuts out during storms. Cables isn't much better. The force me to order channels in "Packages" so 90% of the channels I get are either espn (dont want) or home shopping network. I have absolutely no option to get rid of these channels.
When I want a DVD they delay the release for months, but will release it in other country's first. I can't order it from those countrys becuase of my DVD players country code. Then they release 1 version of the movie... wait 6 months and release an extended version of the movie... then wait another 6 months and release a directors cut and then even a "Series" pack where you can get all the sequels.
OR... I can go to a torrent site... click on the movie. 8hrs later I have the full, directors cut, with all the extra features, in english and I don't have to drive anywhere.
Talk about a service I'd be willing to pay for. Oh wait, they wont let me pay for it. Morons.
Because it does more than block the IP. It's actually rewrites the page and takes out entire frames. Also it's itneractive. You can right-click and block specific content.
Its only a matter of time before they figure out how to circumvent adblocking software. The more that use it, the more likely it will be that they'll find a way around it.
The amount of fossil fuels used in making the new car far outway the amount in savings it will have over the "Clunker"
The car companies raised their prices in order to compensate for this rebate, so this is nothing more that a handout to the auto manufacturers. Plain and simple.
What people should be doing is learning how to maintain their existing car. I guarantee that a well maintained 20yr car is more fuel efficiant than any 3yr old car, driven by the average American house wife that hasn't had the oil changed since she got it and the engine lights been on for the past 6months.

Or the government could just stop spending so much money...

Scan to drive their stock up. Nothing more.
