Yes, you're missing that 6,400 Mbps is the data rate per pin. There's more than one pin on the memory bus.

6400 Mbps is the data rate per pin. The higher data rate would be for a 64-bit memory bus.

Fine then let's put it this way: Give up two Starbucks lattes a month and you can afford Photoshop. I've seen people who make minimum wage spend more on cigarettes in a month than Photoshop costs for anyear.

The modern ones are those that can't be used without the remote! One reason I don't like TVs.

I hear kids these days also wear baggy pants and listen to loud music. Maybe you tell them to get off your lawn.

  16. You don't even need that. Numerous TV networks have apps that stream live TV and companies like Direct TV and Dish Network also offer streaming TV service. GP is plainly a moron.

  17. I don't. Last time I checked sports was delivered by others means besides just terrestrial television. There's this new thing called "streaming" that uses this new invention called "The Internet."

I suggest you look it up. I hear it's gonna be big some day.

  18. Only a day late? Wow, that's quick for Slashdot. Usually it's 3-5 days later. Plus they'll likely be the inevitable dupe posted by one of the other so-called editors just as icing on the cake.

Considering the FCC won't do anything of substance if you file a free, informal complaint how does that not mean that? If you want the current FCC to actually do anything you have to file a formal complaint.

Yeah a TV is much cheaper. Right now at Best Buy you can buy 55" 4k TVs for less than $400. Please show me a 55" 4K monitor that is even in the same price range.

  21. Adding to the above, or is this some sort of insinuation that you can't watch live TV/sports on an AppleTV?? Because that's blatantly false.

  22. Why would you sit in front of the AppleTV versus the TV it's plugged in to?

  23. How are those any better? You think those aren't monitoring what you watch and sending that data back?
