    Isn't it his own fault for telling people that he had leaked the information? No one forced him into the situation he is now in. He brought it entirely onto himself. He wasn't forced into signing the NDA about not leaking classified work which clearly states the manner in which you will be punished if you break the agreement. If he truly thought this was something he should do, he's going to have to face the consequences that come about with breaking that agreement with the government.

    Except that what he was doing does not fall under the exemption. The exemption was that you can jailbreak YOUR OWN phone. This is the same reason why it's legal to break CSS encyption on DVD to use copyrighted clips in fair use works but it is not legal for someone to run a business where by they are stripping CSS off of ripped DVDs and then selling those unencrypted discs.

    Both Techdirt and the submitter seem to have reading comprehension problems.

    Pretty much every piece of software out these days has a EULA declaiming responsibility for anything that happens with the software, up to and including serious financial harm.

    Are you a programmer, by the way? I mean one who writes code for a living, not because they're in school or in their spare time or whatever.

    Yes, I am. On a daily basis I help write and maintain programs in C, C++, Delphi and various bits in x86 and ARM assembly.

    If you're writing a GUI app, and not using native widgets, you're just proclaiming to the world: "I hate my users!"

    Which is why OO.org/LibreOffice need to ditch the hand-rolled widget set and use something better like Qt.

    I didn't realize that Java and .NET were the only two choices for programmers. It must blow your mind that people were able to do all sorts of programming tasks before either were invented.

    Except that they never made any such assumption. He was talking about a well-defined group of people that almost anyone has met when playing on pub servers. The 12 year old teabaggers are basically there to do nothing but try to ruing peoples fun. He in no way said that everyone who played multiplayer was a jerk. How exactly did you ever get out of elementary school with such poor reading comprehension skills?

    The default is not even limited ammo?

    That's not what it is meant by "limited ammo". It means that dropped weapons have less ammo in them versus on a normal setting.
