While working for the Army I was treated good by my boss, but others had no respect for our automation office. Just this week I took a job working for a German compay called netdesign-wt.de (please visit our site!) They offered me a free BMW 314i for personal use (they pay my gas), cell phone for personal use, and a laptop. I also work a relaxed 40 hour scedual, get 1 month paid vacation, and other goodies. Do you think that I miss the Army? No.
What phone compaies need to make is a sharp screen so you can display text on. Get one of those screens that are on digital cameras and put it on a cell phone.
A MAC is a computer for people like my mother. Someone who do NOT recompile there kernel on a daily basis. Please just calm down If apple does not include a compiler into there OS. That's why there is FTP, to download one.
My mother mails packages to Poland via a private companies. True there trustworthness might not be the best, but every package arives.
You can find these people near you local Polish/Russian church.
You also need to understand that people in Russia are not as well off as we in the US are.

I would much perfer a stable computer than one that could do everything and crash at it. If Microsoft were to release Windows 3.11 and make it uncrashable, I would use it.
For all of you that never lived in Germany, Germans pay a 50% tax, and you have extra taxes like TV, 16% VAT tax. But on the other side, Germans don't pay for medical, dental. Even people that work at McDonalds get full benefits. And did you know that Germans pay $5 per gallon of gas???
I have win2k on my laptop, an IBM thinkpad 600, runs very nice. As far as servers, at work we run 3x(dual 500 xeon 1GB RAM) one for pdc, bdc, and exchange. all running NT 4 with SP 5. It is amazing that they run. no crashes. But i am scared as hell to touch them. I was going to upgrade to SP6, but then I said NO. good think I didn't. hell know if it would survive? One think I don't like about NT4 is all the silly permition crap. you have a permition for every damn thing. and to get something to work you have to play with it for an entire day just to get your ftp or www server up with authentication. Thanks why I don't like NT.

The box in the picture looks like a regular PC. My brother owns a playstation and he takes to over to his freinds house, I can't see my brother walking around with a mid size tower down the street.

I don't know, but I bet that one could find more browsers around. I hate then people review a technology and leave out more then half the market.
