Hmmm, I'm using Netscape 4.7 and, well, believe IE might be a bit more streamlined etc, etc. But I really don't think ie is that much better that I would feel the need to swap! Always used netscape so there's where I feel at home. And I got no big complaints actually... Never had stability problems on win, etc, etc.. regards
THat's fine as long as what they get from you doesn't bother you. the best type of business is when BOTH parts think they done a brilliant deal. Also, not that I have read the whole licence yet, but from the looks of it in the text it looks like you gotta pay a licence fee if you wanna use the engine with your alterations to it hidden (ie. you keep the source to the alterations). Suppose many game companies wants that so they gonna get their dosh from there. Now, I'm not a game company, so I'm grateful for the opportunity to play around with a nice 3D engine for free!
Well I bought it since ver. 3 so... IMHO the most important thing for an OS is protected memeory and BeOS got lots of it... Also, Be have prepared the OS for file system security. Planned to be added in a later version - when is another question.. Also, it's not meant to be a server...
WEll, I got screwed by IBM and OS/" as well. The difference is that Beactually SUPPORT their platform - IBM never seemed really keen on OS/2.. remember those nun ads?

BeOS's networking is still rather shitty.. They working on it now though. Believe BeOS 5 (that's the free one as well?) will have a completely rewritten network server... BeOS isn't really suppoed to be a server OS.. All *NIXes do that much better really.... mind you, it's damn nice though... regards Fred
Common sense sort of stopped making sense to use when it comes to the latest physics. In quantum physics for example it's completely unusable... Myself have now started to just accept the theories if the experiment proves them right, of course with a little reminder in my head that the experiment might have been giving wrongful results...

Hmmm, this is one of those things about photons that makes me confused... How come they're affected by gravity if they don't have any mass whatsoever?
