Well articles like this are to be expected, and guess what they probally made a lot of money on adds, because the linux community os probally up in arms about it, and the orthodox linux users are really heated... Eh think about it, the hate programming VCR's, Computers scare them, and I am not sure they are happy about their impending death. Yeah they are scared to of the future, let me rephrase that, scare to face the future, thats why our genration has so much power now, and it my fucking opinon, I am not smoking shit, I am pulling this from my experiance in life. I work for for a buch of people my parents age, and i have to drag them kicking a screaming into the present, they dont want to even think about the future. Are these companies gettint too big??? Will the Content Improve on the sites of these company? Or will they just begin to suck more than thay already do?
I was thinking MIcrosoft would either leave the us for canda, to avoid the laws here. it would not be great for the us economy but they could stick it to the us goverment and revoke all there licences

there is no suprise here, it happens in every generation, this time, it just happens that our generations has shown some skills, unlike our parents, who only had rock & roll ( not saying thats a bad thing). We are a generation who does not fear the future, we just took it over. Our parents have become afraid of it and are having a hard time dealing with socio-economical changes which are coming about due to the fact that our generation having embraced this new medium ussually end up breaking our parents highest salery before we are 23. The only thing we must realize is that we must break the cycle and not be afraid of the future when we are our parents age...
Common sence is taking over whoooooo hooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! These small speed increases were getting on my nerves. IT was just giving people excuses for writing sloppy code. I mean, I magine if we maxed out a 200 mhz for a while never passed 233. All the software of today would have had to writtedn for the chip of yesterday. Like console systems I.E. Playstation, which was out for years yet the games just kept getting better. The software would have had to become better to keep people coming back for more.
I think Geeks in General have still not been accepted into society. The Pressures to fit in , be with the right people,and even on occasion be the right color, play a huge role. Even the the Tech Industry is a money making one(even thought geeks do it becuase they like it) it does not look "good." If the want more girls make geeks socially acceptable
In the end, I wish there just be a global boycott of Microsoft that would hurt them, financially (Mission Improbable), Unlike other companies Microsoft's product is so widely used that it is almost impossible. DO they care about free Speech, no, they do care about profit. This whole issues should have been expected, it was only a matter of time. My thought is What has them looking at Slashdot????? Why are the looking at the news sites????
