If this ever happened, I just wouldn't plug the appliance into an Internet port (whatever kind it is when stuff like this becomes reality). And besides, you could save a hell of a lot of money buying the blender with the 14.4kbps connection rather than the 9999 tbps connection anyways (What's the next prefix after tera?).

Maybe 3M will come out with wider rolls of tape to fuel the new tape drive market. Also, what happens when the adhesive on the tape becomes weak? Do you lose your data? Can you make your own Scotch Tape HD out of recycled tape? The mind boggles...
