    Indeed. They're closing user sessions here to get a shorter boot, that's essentially curing the disease by killing the patient. If I have a long boot time from hibernate, I can go do something else for 5-10 minutes. But if I've lost my user sessions, I have to sit there and reopen all my windows before I have a usable desktop. They might technically have a shorter boot time with this strategy, but it will end up wasting more of the user's time.

    Because they're going to track you either way. Mozilla needs to spend less time on this, and more time on implementing technical countermeasures to tracking.

    Stock traders would not exists because they would have to pay taxes every time the purchase something, even if they lose money

    So it's your position that it's not rape, but it's still as bad as rape and should be punished as harshly as rape? I'd agree with that in principle, but not in practice.

    What you call it shouldn't matter, but usually when people say something isn't rape, they're just making excuses for the rapist. Words have power, and if you use a word that doesn't carry the connotations rape does, you deemphasize the severity of the act. This is why I call you an apologist.

    Thanks, but I don't watch Fox. The financial crisis had everything to do with being overleveraged, which is equivalent to printing money due to the way fractional reserve banking works.

    If I were really a Fox tard, would I be calling for RICO prosecutions of bankers?

    No. People have needs, both physical and psychological. If your actions destroy a mans livlihood and his hope, you have killed him just as surely as if you pulled the trigger yourself.     In every case where I've seen violent protesters, the criminals have been the ones in power. Mostly because protestors are not likely to be violent, unless they're provoked by agents provocateur, which are only used by tyrannies.

    Though I don't think laws regarding organized crime should be used unless there is an actual organization involved or clearly working for an organization.

    I can think of a few such organizations. Goldman-Sachs, AIG, Countrywide, Bank of America, JP Morgan, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and so on.

    Intent does matter. If it was truly an accident, say a woman fell down the stairs and onto your fingers, then that's not rape. But if you actually intended to put your fingers there, it doesn't make a bit of difference if you didn't mean it as rape.

    Yes, if size, noise, and power consumption weren't an issue, then a PC would make a perfectly capable alternative to an arduino for many projects. Why does that bother you?

    There's at least some overlap in the capabilities of these devices. If you're already handy with Debian and want to build an LED twiddling project without spending too much time learning a new platform, then sure it would make perfect sense to buy a Pi instead of an Arduino.

    You do have a point though, they are targeted at different sweet spots.
