Following the protocols established by the recent OpenBSD/Linux Broadcom driver fiasco, the proper response would be to denounce Sohu for having been ripped off by Google.
Would have been great if s/he asked about snow and nut. More importantly and relevant would have been to ask about mplayer g2. It's been moribund for awhile. I think this is why they were emphasizing the difference between developer and maintainer. Mplayer is just being maintained and new stuff is limited to tweaks it seems.
Obviously the wrong direction. Such deciscions are political in nature and really shouldn't be made by scientists. Let alone the simple fact that there is no way of knowing in advance what could and could not be useful to terrorists in the future (boxcutters anyone?). The editors supposedly think that scientist need to be accountable for the spread of whatever information they have which we all know is a dangerous, slippery slope.
Hi Mr. Brown. I used to enjoy your show before I gave up tv. I still have the early seasons on tape. One thing I noticed is that the show always seemed to disregard conventional thinking about what is healthy (e.g. using fat in cooking). It also seemed to be anti-vegetarian (once there was even a rep from the meat industry talking about all it's benefits). I'd like to explictly get your take on "healthy cooking" and vegetarian cooking. And since heat + food = cooking, what do you think of the raw foods people? One more thing, are there any black people in Georgia? Never even saw one in the background at Kroger's.
Truth is that he was suspended for failing to sufficiently prove he was *the* James Gosling quickly enough.

Shame on you Sohu! This is inhuman!

I say this as a long time and current user.
So in effect, the only thing this does is put a speed bump in the way of Fair Use. In fact, I'll cynically suggest that's precisely their intent.
I really wish the ffmpeg people would get their act together and release NUT. It's the one container I'm looking forward to.
Hormel isn't going to like this one bit! Hope they've got a legal team...
